I find their result to be irrelevant to whether we're capable of winning ~5 games. If we're not capable of keeping ourselves up, then I'm happy for us to go down. Therefore I can approach this game with a clear mind, and decide who I want to win based upon my pure unadulterated hatred of Pards & Sunderland. And right now, Pards is easily tipping them. Sunderland are just a lifeless shell of a football team, much like ourselves. I find it hard to care enough about them to hate them at the moment. Therefore, down with Pards.

I've been thinking it over, and I reckon if push came to shove I would accept a Palace victory, but if, and only if, Pards has an absolutely massive heart attack before 7:45, and never regains full consciousness and/or motor-function ever again. But otherwise, 10-0 mackems.

He didn't sell when we were relegated last time, so what would make this time any different? A club in the Premier League would be much more attractive to a potential buyer than a team languishing in the Championship. Once we're relegated, what do we aim for? We'll still have Ashley, so we'll aim for promotion and then want to get relegated again? There is absolutely no positives in being relegated, especially as the gap between the Premier League and Championship greatens. So if Ashley won't sell anyway, I'd rejoice in watching his business lose all value. Relegation is all win iyam.

This is fair enough. Hatred is what drives the game, it should be embraced. I just don't have the same hatred for Sunderland. They're just kind of mehh (much like us). Plus obviously I don't have to go to work with filthy mackems, so I don't get such a direct irritant anymore. As long as the reasoning isn't NUFCs precious premier league status, that we must make sure we keep, as it is the only way to ensure that we continue to be the great club we are. Next year will be different, as long as we stay in the league!! Also, at a certain point I'm accepting of relegation if we're so fucking shit that we can't muster up more than 35 fucking points.
