  1. We've done some very decent business this window. Clever does not mean decent.. 2 freebies, one in for money but one out to cover it.... Its amazing how many clubs go after players and get them, we chase players but always seem to just miss out. Then we get the "we tried but its not easy" bollocks If you followed other clubs' transfer rumours and links as closely as ours though, wouldn't you see exactly the same thing. We've signed a decent number of good players so far, how anyone can be down on this window is beyond me. Because we've not spent the £35m. It's quite hypocritical really. When AC was sold, the problem was that the money can't score goals. Now, even though we've signed players, because the money itself hasn't been burned, it's not good enough? I'm not saying I'm content, I still think we need 2 players, but there is time yet. We could sign Leo Messi tomorrow and people would still find a way to complain.
  2. Perch and Raylor are "competition" for Simpson!
  3. Our midfield looks awesome and we've got 2 top keeper prospects, reasons to be cheerful IMO We could do with 1 defender and 1 striker, and obviously this isn't factoring in any potential sales (especially in the defence). So in whole, I'm pretty positive about the squad right now. We've got enough players to not have to rush in any signings, take our time and get in the right men. I would definitely like our squad settled ASAP, but I'm fine, as long as signings actually happen at some point this window, which is obviously far from certain.
  4. Definitely. A team in the NFL would have to be truly woeful to spend more than a couple of years in the doldrums. Equality is there for all, and pretty much every team achieves some level of success on a frequent basis. It's absolutely unheard of for a team to go through a decade of failure, I'm not even sure it's possiblehttp://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/troll.jpeg
  5. There's parity in the NFL. I'd be very surprised if ANY team hadn't made the playoffs at least ONCE the last 10 years http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/troll.jpeg
  6. f***ing mental! £20 million for Downing?!?! We'll have £100 million for Tiote please! And the rest, if Downings 20 mill that makes Tiote at least 250 mill. No less than 1.6 billion imo
  7. Imagine the NFL without the draft, it'd be hideous 2012: Pats 2013: Pats 2014: Pats 2015: Steelers 2016: Pats 2017: Steelers 2018: Steelers 2019: Bills 2020: Pats 2021: Pats 2022: Steelers 2023: Steelers Fucking awful.
  8. Was the main reason I went to the Shitrena He was shite.
  9. RBNY are really not a good side, having seen them at shitbull arena. Unfortunately, the benefit of them being mid-season (and match fit) may do a job at making them look competent.
  10. So he satisfies the first 2 of my 3 possibilities... shit. Better start shopping for a CB.
  11. He may not be fully fit, could have an important date, could be on his way to Chelsea, who knows.

I was simply trying to keep it PC before the watershed.

    Women's football

EH Wiki says she's only 5ft 9 (still too tall), but she looks like a mountain on t'tele.

    Women's football

Too tall for me. I've "dated" a tall girl before. It was shit.
  15. Same could be said for International Friendlies... or regular friendlies...
  16. This is a shitty American idea I could get behind, but I'm sure it'd end up being a totally shite friendly game.
  17. The Halifax Courier! Rumours of a controversial homecoming for Alan Smith went into overdrive today as bookmakers slashed the odds on the Newcastle United midfielder making a shock return to Leeds. Sky Bet are pricing a return to Elland Road for Smith before the transfer window closes at 1-5, with reports other bookmakers were refusing to take any more bets on the move. The movement in price reportedly followed a series of large bets being placed on the possible transfer and has ramped up debate among the fans on internet forums and Twitter. Smith seemingly burnt his bridge back to Elland Road when he signed for bitter rivals Manchester United following the Whites’ relegation to the Championship in 2004. But with boss Simon Grayson having expressed an interest in Smith and looking to add to his midfield following the release of Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny, a signing which would likely split fans’ opinion looks increasingly likely.
  18. Thats it, basically. No- you do need one. Going on holiday there in sept and a friend with a record had to go to embassy in london for interview. Was granted one though Are you a UK citizen? I went to New York last summer and didn't need a visa. Yes you do. It is called a Visa Waiver. You apply online for an ESTA which used to be free but now costs $14. You used to fill a green form in on the plane but now do it electronically in advance. If you have been convicted of certain crimes or served a prison sentence then you have to apply to embassy for "proper" visa and aren't elegible for the 3 month validity visa waiver/ESTA. You still have to fill in the green form on the plane, despite the fact it asks the exact same fucking questions as the ESTA. C'est ridicule
  19. I'm not just gonna drink my piss without knowing it'll alter the course of the universe and ultimately lead to Alan Smith leaving NUFC. I need to understand how this makes a difference. I assume it's some butterfly effect nonsense, but I need a flow chart.
  20. I don't think he'll go anywhere. I don't think we'll receive a bid tbh. There are plenty more fish in the sea for Chelsea, and they really don't need to be adding another African CM to their arsenal. I reckon we'd sell at a massive, Carroll-esque price, but not below. It'd be a bigger deal than losing Carroll IMO.
  21. What can I do to make this happen? I will do anything. I'll sacrifice my youngest child, or a goat or some shit like that. Anything. Please.
  22. The US model is perfectly fine for the US, it just wouldn't work for the amount of teams in the UK. Their system gives a much greater chance for equality, that's the only thing I'd like to see recreated. Although, not in the manner they do it (draft system. Even though a draft would be mint, it'd be impossible to implement).
