Have him on loan for a season and then ease Taylor or Ferguson into the position?
-
Mark Douglas claimed he was told it was 5 plus replacements for anyone who left but he was under the impression that Taylor wasn't one of the 5. So that's Cabaye, Marveaux, Ba plus 2 more (hopefully Zog and a striker) and then a replacement for Nolan and possible replacements Barton, Enrique and Simpson. I would then expect Routledge, Perch, Smith, Best/Ameobi, Ranger and Xisco to be shipped out without replacements.

Looking at it impartially, I think they've bought well but they've lost Onouha, Wellbeck, Bent, Mensah, Muntari and Henderson in a short time. At the moment, I don't think you can say the Korean guy, Gardner, Sessagnon, Larsson and Wickham make the squad stronger than they were with those players. Westwood will likely be a replacement for Gordon. Still work to do for them.

Take a look at the Man Utd messageboard called RedCafe, they are up in arms about O'Shea being sold and that's good enough for me. Mate, I live and work in Manchester. None of them give a shit. They all despise Gibson as well.
-
The jump from 7th to any higher is massive though. Everton, Spurs and Liverpool are established sides so 7th or 8th gives us a decent base to chase them.
-
Trying to look at their business objectively. I really don't see them being too much stronger than last season. Looking at their potential business below, they spent £46m and bring in £50m and look slightly stronger as a squad but probably worse as a first team. Wickham will very much be the wildcard. Welbeck- Sessegnon (6m-) Bent (24m+) - Ngog (8m-) Muntari - Gibson (4m-) Henderson (20m+) - Gardner (6m-) Onouha - Brown (4m-) Mensah - O'Shea (4m-) Gordon (6m+)- Westwood Wickham (12m-) Dong-Won (2m-) Larsson

Gibson is neither cover for Tiote or strong. He's utter shit and just shoots from 40 yards every time he gets the ball. Abortion of a player.

Report: Alan Smith to leave NUFC in January?

He's not deluded about his ability because the way he hides from the ball proves he knows he's shit. He's a coward and he's the worst kind of coward because he hides behind some tough guy image. Kicking people isn't brave. Showing for the ball when you're 2-0 down away to Stevenage is brave. I was delighted when the cock went off injured against the mackems. Absolutely despise him. -
To be fair, it's the same with just about every club in the league. Recruit loads of players at 17/18 from other parts of the country/world and for a number of different reasons you'll be lucky if you get one that ends up with the first team. Maybe so, it's quite surprising how much of a dead duck some of them have been though, to the point where they're not even getting in the reserve side. I'd love to know the story behind signings like Zamblera. Did he ever get on the field when he went to Roma and Sampdoria? Don't think so. Zamblera was a really strange one. Why were Roma and Sampdoria interested in him? Possibly peaked physically early and therefore looked better than he was at youth level?

Krul is a good example for a young player purchased that came through. so is N'Zogbia. Yeah we've definitely done it before. I was thinking more under Ashley. But those two prove that you only need 10% to pay off to get a return on your overall investment.
-
It's a gamble bringing in young players and if you spend £5m on 10 players and only one makes it, you still pick up a top player for £5m. I guess Vuckic will hopefully be that player for us and as Wullie says, Kadar is injury prone unfortunately as he's looked very good. Spderberg may make it as well and Ranger will bring some money back in when we sell him.

Stuff I was reading today reckoned their president or whatever was adamant about holding out for the full 15m euros. With our ability to pay the fee up front and in full I think we could get it a bit cheaper. It's not commonplace on the continent to pay fees in full so it could be a major factor.

Lightweight? That looks solid as a rock to me. Bit defensive for my liking.

How's that funny. It's far superior to any other tedious links we get on here. My mate has it sweet. Goes to every game free of charge. Goes to the end of season party. Sat next to Oscar De La Hoya at the Khan fight. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/51/22905276232337791822370.jpg/ There's a photo for evidence. Andy Gartside, my mate and Kevin Davies.

No chance of a loan. Friend of my mine is best friends with Phil Gartsides son and he told me the other day that everything is agreed for Sturridge to go back to Bolton on loan again. Just needs the new Chelsea manager to decide if he wants to loan him or keep him at Chelsea.

I get the feeling that Ba may be a reactionary signing to his availability on a free. We wanted two strikers, Ba isn't necessarily one of them but he becomes available for nothing so we sign him, sell Best, make a profit and continue with our plans for two strikers.

Where are all the teams falling over themselves to sign him then? Who else was missing in those games? What teams did we play? Home or Away? Did you see him against league one opposition puffing and panting away? Not someone you want to invest a longer term contract in at this stage. No way. I saw him get 12 goals against Premier League opposition, you f***ing halfwit. Hear comes the personal abuse. Standard Wullie. You always go there with me. If I retaliated I would get banned for sure. You just can't carry a discussion any other way. Pathetic guy. It's your own fault for talking utter rubbish, all the time. Is that written into the forum rules? People can be abused if another forum member believes they are talking rubbish? What, "halfwit"? How precious is he like? I was being kind tbh. Slippery slope surely? Personal abuse is personal abuse. Cunt is an insulting word, fuckwit is an insulting word. Whats the difference between the two?

You can add Birmingham away into that. I though he was excellent that day. Dominated Roger Johnson.

Paul Smith broke the Neil Taylor bid on his twitter last week so he's got a bit of credibility.

"Real radio" priced out of live commentary next season.

Apparently one time Giggs scored a late goal in a game and then ten minutes later someone came along and posted 'Giggs has scored' in the thread for the other games. Now apparently if you post anything that someone has posted before then it's hilarious to post the Giggs face. In fact, someone has probably already explained this before somewhere on the forum... so this post itself is a "Giggs". So if someone posts a Giggs face after this post, it'll be unbelievably funny. -

Exactly. I would much rather people subscribed to .co.uk and the money went into the club as well. -

Ben Arfa has 1 goal in 2.5 games. A superior goal ratio to Sessegnon. I rest my case.
