  1. If Jonas is out for a month, he should miss 4 league games. If Shola is out for 2, we're talking about ten league games and the third round of the Carling. Absolute nightmare like. Watch Butts injury be a week. Why is it always our key players who get long term injuries whilst the shite keep playing on and on.

  4. Here you go. Warnock had a watching brief last season as Martin O'Neill's men flirted with Champions League qualification for the majority of the season. He now wants to be part of the renewed bid to go a step further. He told AVTV: "The main aim is pushing for that top four spot. That's the ambition. "The manager is buying some really talented players - young and ambitious - and I'm sure they will see that top four spot as a target and goal. "Playing in Europe is important - playing against the top players on the continent is fantastic - and there's no better stage to do that than on the Champions League. "If we could do that, it would be a great achievement." "We're in the Europa League now and that is hugely important, too. To play against great sides will be tremendous - just look at the likes of Celtic who will be involved in the competition now."
  5. What Hughton said today. Hughton said: “Shola took a little knock on the ankle. “Jonas felt his hamstring but is OK.” Ok= A month out? A little knock= months out? Christ, Hughton talks more shit than JFK.
  6. Even our fans have started moaning about it. I thought they were both pens tonght, though I thought the second probably was. Doubtful on the first. He's a cracking player but he's starting to piss me off with these theatrics.
  7. Ashley Young's diving is getting fucking ridiculous now. Nevin mentioned it in the build up so I wonder if they'll say anything at HT. The first one was a disgrace.

    Xisco

He wasn't even on the bench last night so hopefully he's in talks with another club. Just to clear his wages of the bill would be nice.
  9. Dos Santos is all left foot from what I've seen. I think he prefers to play on the right though a bit like Messi. Bale is a genuine left-footer for a start. Dos Santos from the little I've seen is almost exclusively right-footed and not a natural wide player.
  10. I saw it on the tv in the ground at half time. He took about 5 steps before going down. Krul was fuming too. He offside as well. The third was a weird one. I'd have to see it on TV to know if Krul was to blame as I was right behind the other goal. Definite Krul error, it was his ball to claim. If thats the case, his rating should be down a few then. I was as far away as possible and blamed it on the centre halfs as they had been terrible before that.

  12. Ok. My eyes are shite. My mate is too blame for the Donaldson-Vuckic debacle. He told me it was Donaldson. Krul wasn't that bad. It was never, NEVER a pen and he was left hideously exposed by the defence for the 1st and 3rd. One great save at the end of the first half probably kept us in the game and as I say his distribution was superb.
  13. Krul- Shaky. Made some rash decisions. One good save in the first half and his distribution was decent both long and short. 7 Taylor- Poor. Poor distribution, 1 poor cross of note, poor set pieces, poor positionally. Return to form. 4 Simpson- Poor. Petrified by pace of their diving cheating bastard and was positionally very very poor. Distribution was very poor first half. Not a centre half. 4 Kadar- Same as above. More suited to Left back. Physically not up to it atm. 4 Enrique- Top class. 1 shaky moment first half when he dallied on the ball and was almost punished but other than that was superb. His passing was brilliant especially one of two in the last twenty minutes. When Jonas came on he was even better and their link up was unreal. 9 Geremi- Not bad. Not good by any stretch. Very nice finish. Looked scared to cross the ball at times which was strange. Kept the ball well and worked hard. 6 Butt- Shite. Of the highest order. Passed horribly, barely made a tackle. Didn't perform anything like a captains role when it was all kicking off at the end of the first half. The thing that annoys me the most is that he can't play the holding role. He presses the ball too hard and is then out of position and he can't play a simple pass for shit. 2 Nolan- Looked lost first half. Didn't seem to know where he was playing and was coming too deep. I blame this on Butt being shit. Second half he was very good. Took a real leaders role with the armband and played further forward as Guthrie could keep the ball. Did really well for Geremi's goal. Stole Sholas goal though so loses 1. 7 Guthrie- Excellent. A bit lost first half but scored a brilliant goal and was still probably our best player. Second half he was superb. Keep the ball, spread it about, broke up play. Set pieces were superb as well. None more so than the one that created the 4th. 9 Lua Lua- One or two good runs. No end product and barely featured in the game. Jonas was a massive improvement. He looks like he doesn't really know what his position is. 5 Ranger- Poor first half. Mainly because he was isolated and we played aimless balls up to him. Was much better when Goala came on and could have nabbed one at the end but for some good defending. Held the ball up well and worked hard. Unfortunately he could barely kick the ball straight in the warm up so he loses 1. 5 Shola- Superb. Great off the ball. Worked his socks off. Held the ball up brilliantly and won every header. Looks a real goal threat as well and it doesn't look like he'll ever miss a pen. 9 Jonas- Brilliant little cameo. Skinned someone every time he got the ball and looked a lot more forceful in the final third. Really tried to drive for the byline. His link up with Enrique is nigh on sexual. 8 Donaldson- One awesome pass with his left to Ranger was about the only thing he did. Overall a good exercise. Learned that Nolan off the front man at home is a waste of time. Guthrie is Iniesta in comparison to Butt, Ranger and Kadar aren't ready and that Simpson can't play centre half. Shola had better not be injured though.
  14. With regards to this, Hughton is our best manager in years solely for realising that Nicky Butt is a pile of shit and hauling him off.
  15. I said at the weekend that we should start the first team back four. I feel vindicated tbh, we sounded like an absolute shambles at the back What if they got injured? it's a risk but i'd happily have taken, they're a pretty robust lot, especially Taylor and Coloccini. For a variety of fairly superficial reasons I have no confidence in the reserves We were woeful at the back mate. Kadar and Simpson were lost at centre half and Krul looked massively less confident because of it. Kadar certainly could have done without his first team debut being made next to an out of position right back. They weren't helped by Nicky Butts horribly inept performance first half and did look a bit more solid when we went to 4-4-2.
  16. Distin is off to Everton I hear. Not sure if this makes an difference to a Taylor deal because I think they'll want two centre halves and have plenty of money.
  17. agreed, with the exception of Kadar What you got against the likes of Kadar and Tozer? have you watched them regularly enough to "right them off"? No, would be the correct answer. He's seen Kadar twice apparently and didn't see the Leeds game. So he's basing it completely on his theory of how the Leeds game went. He assumes Kandol bullied them but in reality no one saw the goals and they could of all been tap ins. Kadar has been excellent on the occasions I've seen him and I'm more than confident he would hold his own in a home cup tie against Huddersfield. Tozer has been less impressive but he was signed based on his performances for a League 1 side and there was plenty of competition by all accounts. Again, in a home cup tie, it might be worth giving him a go. If not then, when are we going to play him? Kadar left back, with Tozer centre half. Coloccini with them as Taylor will surely not play. I'm sure Ronaldo will be delighted that the rock Coloccini is there to guide the kids through the game.
  18. I'd most definitely take him. Good left peg, quick and strong. Free transfer, low wages and backup for Jonas.
  19. I would prefer to pay Kadar 5k a week to play than Coloccini 60k a week yeah. But no, lets keep Coloccini, watch his wages prevent a takeover and then delight that his unconventional defending prevents him from challenging headers or tackles. If Coloccini plays a full season, we will not get promoted. He will get worked out and has already been troubled by shite like Luke Moore and Jermaine Johnson. If you're denying that, then you're blind.
  20. I would go with Guthrie on the right with Barton and Smith in the middle. Guthrie played very well on the right against Boro and with Jonas on the left, that midfield would have a good balance.
  21. How can you say Kadar looks woeful? He's been cracking for the reserves when he's been fit. One bad game (possibly as I didn't see it) against Leeds and all of a sudden he's shit? Tozer, I'll give you. Haven't been impressed by him. Kadar on the other hand looks the real deal to me.
  22. Can't believed you managed to type that without being physically sick. What a fuckin disgrace that is. I honestly think I'd break Nicky Butt's legs if I saw him in the street.
