Bollocks. He was woeful in the second half at WBA and nearly gifted Jeffers a goal in the last ten on Wed. He HAS to go. He's a centre half who can't deal with physical strikers and can't deal with pacy strikers. Its the worst combination possible for the league we're in. Teams are going to target him and will get joy. Obviously if he is moved on he will have to be replaced but the replacement won't be paid the ridiculous amount we pay Colocinni. How did he nearly gift Jeffers a goal? What did he do wrong in the second half vs Brom? Far too many sheep at SJP, stop listening to what the dickhead next to you says man. Watch him, watch his contribution. Rarely does it involve last ditch tackles and chest thumping, but it CAN be effective. Fuck off man. You're acting like you see something in Coloccini that no one else does to try and make it look like you're more learned than we are. Everyone says he's shit because he is shit. He is currently offering nothing more than being a body in defence. He lost Jeffers for that one on one late on. When Jeffers just drifted off him. Just like Luke Moore did before he turned him inside out and Krul had to make the save with his foot. He can't win a fuckin header. Anyone with a bit of pace gets in behind in easily. He marks poorly. He does not defend the box well. If you dispute any of this, plenty of evidence can be provided. Sears will cause him all kinds of problems tomorrow. So yes, his defending does not involve last ditch tackles or chest thumping. It doesn't involve winning headers or marking effectively either.

Is basically take your pick of high wage players, first three leave. Taylor is our biggest asset and that is why he is one who is aloud to go. If its just a case of wages though, we should be letting Colo, Xisco, Geremi and Butt go for nothing. That's about 250k a week right there.
-
Why the fuck would we be trying to offload Taylor, Barton and Jonas? If its just a case of wages, we should be trying to move out Butt, Coloccini, Geremi and Xisco. Let them 4 go and get the takeover done. Why try to move out three of our better players?

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United 22/08/09 - pre-match thread
captainhaircut replied to Fatwax's topic in Football
what gives them this confidence? Coloccini being utterly shite would appear to be the main source of their confidence. Its fair enough like. Sears will be his worst nightmare. -
Theres a yootoob video kicking about but I don't think we are allowed to post them on here?? Newcastle had scouts at the Scunthorpe v Boro game in midweek too. Looking at Hooper?

Very good at Sunderland on loan though. Will do a good job in the first and gets forward well. Decent signing.
-
Thanks for that wonderful input. Straight from a Spurs ITK I bet.

Shaun Goater, Jason Koumas

The story is taken from the Sun and the Mirror it would seem. Would probably be a good signing.
-
It looks to me to be a fan page speculating that he would be a bargain signing. It also speculates that Lucas Neill would be as well. Nothing to see here. My Turkish isn't perfect like.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Carroll is far quicker than he's given credit for. He chased his own flick on on Saturday and outpaced Zuiverloon. Still don't fancy him as a centre half like. -
Jesus, is the man for real? When the Mackems were bought in 2006 it was for just less than 10m. The same summer we signed Albert Luque for 10m How the Mackems must cry about this every night as they laugh their fuckin tits off at us. The price of the club is irrelevant. Mike Ashley paying someone to take the club off his hands couldn't make us more of a laughing stock than we are right now.

Guthrie showed his hunger and drive a number of times for me last year. Most notably for me away to Wigan. 2-0 down to ten men, every was pathetic but Guthrie continued to want the ball and try to go forward. He then took responsibility for the penalty in the last minute. I think he'd run the Championship. Smith holding, with Barton and Guthrie pushed right forward. As we're quite weak up front, I think we need to utilise Barton and Guthrie further forward.
-
He's shown today exactly what sort of attitude he's got at the moment. On your way lad, take Coloccini and Xisco with you please.
-
Jesus, what a shite game. We could really set the bar if we won at West Brom tomorrow.

I sincerely hope this mentality doesn't develop within the coaching staff. I hope it does develop. Half decent management by Hughton would be a massive improvement.
