As last night demonstrated, football can be a weird, old game so what I'm going to predict tonight is a 2-0 Holland win which will send them through to the quarters...(I expect a Germany win tonight as well btw). If the Dutch do get through, it will be most undeserved!

I would like to add Guy Mowbray, Jonathan Pearce, Mark Bright, Clive Tyldesley, Andy Townsend and Peter Drury to this post. Without a doubt, there's only actually 2 or 3 commentators I can stand. There's also Jon Champion and Chris Waddle who deserve special mention, the twats. I actually don't mind Jon Champion. He always seems to have a good word to say about us.

I reckon Villas-Boas would be a decent appointment for Spurs. He will have learned a lot of lessons from his time at Chelsea and that can only be a benefit to him. Plus the Spurs' dressing room won't be full of hyper-inflated egos (well, Bale and Modric aside maybe).

IMO, Poland have been the better team so if they keep playing like they have been, they should get the goal they need.

Got to say, Gerrard did have one his best games in ages last night. Two assists in two games, so he's doing something right. Still a bit too static when it comes to movement mind but guess that's got to be expected with his ageing body/legs as well as our tactics.

It's too early to say his true potential - but he has made a decent start. Not sure its worth the jizzfest I just simply mentioned that the hype surrounding him was much too great (hence why I think he's overrated atm) but my workmates were having none of it.
