For me, Rio wasn't picked for the squad this summer because his 2011/12 season was shite - the man is clearly declining and what England doesn't need is an inconsistent CB (btw, I'm well aware that others who have had crap seasons have been selected - something which I'm not particularly happy with). It's just that I made up my mind about Rio well before the Euros - he kept making the simplest of mistakes (such as not tracking a player, misplacing passes). Jonny Evans had a much better season than Rio and that's saying something really.

Still though, Richards should have shown a better attitude about not being selected. He's pretty much jeopardised his future England prospects imho. Would he have any future prospects anycase? Hodgson has basically told him despite Johnson having a shocker of a season he's ahead of you. Good point but if Micah wants to be involved at all with the England setup, he still needs to show a somewhat better attitude.
