  1. I predict the following: We'll score first and in doing so, the atmosphere becomes very tense in St James'; we'll then sit back and defend but eventually we'll crack under the pressure and concede 2 goals in the last 5 minutes.
  2. Fully support Jonas over this. The way he was treated here was disgusting. Hope he rinses the fuck out of a disgrace that is this football club.
  3. My train has just been cancelled but should still be at Central by 10:15. If I'm not there by half 10, just go on ahead and I'll make my own way down.
  4. wonder if Sifu is bringing a pair with him. I will indeed be bringing gloves. Your a gentleman and a scholar Might be outlandish of me but can I start in net?

  6. Google reckons that all the buses that stop at Stop D outside Central goes straight there...

A massive 10, anything other than a win against Norwich and that's relegation confirmed for me.
  8. I'll be heading up from Manchester on the train that morning so can meet you at Central and go from there?
  9. 2 silly fouls in 30 secs; the 2nd was a red alone IMO Absolutely. Stupid challenge.
  10. Northern Ireland have lost their heads. Baird sent off.
  11. Decent performance from them tonight thus far. They've been lacking in the final third though.

    This signing is very pleasing
  13. About Lascelles...he did look nervous as fuck against Sheffield United on Sunday...
  14. Was Williamson's every touch booed, or was that bullshit? I was sat in the home end with my Sheffield United supporting mate so I can't confirm for sure if that did or did not happen. I couldn't hear any sort of booing from where I was sitting fwiw.
  15. Just got back from the match and it really wasn't the best of performances from our point of view - it somewhat reminded me of the s*** we served up last season. Formation wise, it looked to me like we were playing 4-1-2-3 with Anita as the sole holding midfielder and Wijinaldum and Colback having advanced roles; then it was Cisse up top on his own with Perez and Sissoko supporting him on the wings. I spent most of the first half trying to figure out what we were trying to do attacking-wise - it seemed like we were trying to concentrate our play through the middle with Wijnaldum (who looked bright enough) being the main focal point, so we did actually try to pass it around but ultimately our movement off the ball wasn't good enough and that did let us down and that resulted into us looking really disjointed imho (it also meant that Cisse was devoid of any real service throughout the time he was on the pitch, apart from the first couple of minutes when he was unlucky not to score). The defence (apart from, to some extent, Janmaat and Haidara) was shambolic. Sheffield United literally cut our defence into pieces and they really should have gone into half time with a comfortable lead but alas their finishing let them down. Williamson was so bad that every time he made a mistake/got outmuscled, the only thing I could do was laugh. From what I saw today, quite a lot of work still needs to be done in all areas if we are to be properly ready for the new season.
  16. Brilliant news, this I'm also genuinely excited by this signing especially when you consider the potential he has (judging from all the stories about him that is!). Looks like the words "hope" and "belief" are starting to creep into my NUFC vocabulary again especially if we also bring in a competent CB as well (cue September/October time when things are going wrong and we get the same old story... I like how this regime has brought out the cynic in me).
  17. Fantastic news, brilliant signing This is also somewhat the start of my hope and excitement for next season...but of course whether or not I'll be full of belief come the start of the season will depend on who else we bring in.
  18. I think there is the element of him wanting to be the "big" fish in a small pond - if he's seen as being the main, pivotal man in a team, then it would look boost his chances of making the first team with France. The logic in that is sound but playing for Pardew again is a risky move.
