It's been like that for the last few years, Kelly Smith has always been in a class of her own compared to her peers.

Weaker without Campbell? Don't think anyone will rue his departure but I wouldn't feel comfortable going into the season without another centre half, even if it was a promising kid. Maybe that's Kadar but he'll have to prove he can go more than five minutes without getting injured first. Dread to think what would happen if Coloccini got injured, thankfully that's as rare as an Alan Smith winner.

I think people are thinking about the workrate that Jonas has and about the fact that he's defending a lot as well as he carries the ball forward. Marveaux, from what I've heard so far, is more an out and out attacking midfielder that probably isn't that suited to make his PL debut against one of the best sides in the league. Agreed, say we were to play a mid-table/newly promoted team as the first game of the season, I would probably start Marveaux then. We shall see like.

Barton won't go down without a fight though. If the above happens, all hell would break loose on his Twitter. That would probably please Ashley as the club could fine Barton for every outburst so NUFC wouldn't even have to pay him. We may have a Laurent Robert type situation in that case......
