I think most players have their critics tbf. Not sure if being a Geordie has anything to do with it. This is also true. They can't both be true, really. I feel that people criticise all our players when we play like shit, Gouffran and Cisse are foreigners who have taken a lot of shit on here, recently. You play badly (like everyone has been) and you're gonna get criticism.

I'm definite that Man Utd can buy almost any player off almost any team, barring a couple in the PL, plus Barca, Real and Bayern. Hummels may be a bad example, he's got what I imagine is a pretty inspirational manager, but still, if Man Utd stuck in a 40-50m bid, I'm not sure they would say no...

For the money that Man Utd are willing to pay, basically every player is available. I'm sure Hummels would be available for the money paid for Shaw, for example.

He was 18 and looked fairly accomplished in midfield. He was promising, and his lack of development from there is something people should rightly question.

It's good that Obertan is getting in everyone's teams. I've piled on the hate to the guy as much as anyone in past seasons, and there is no doubt in my mind he deserved it. Good to see him actually playing like a footballer again. Still struggled with brainfarts on occasion last night but overall, his driving runs on the counter relieved pressure and he kept the ball fairly well. Should start over Gouffran.

Best midfield performance I've seen from us in a while. Good fitness and the ability to both break things up and drive forward, something we don't have in any of our midfielders other than Tiote, who's just a mad cunt.
