  1. I love how some people make out Barnsley outplayed Liverpool and battered them.Liverpool were all over Barnsley for most of the game and could/should have scored 3 or 4. Barnsley smashed and grabbed, which is basically what Inter ended up trying to do tonight.

    England #1?

James should be number 1 for now. However I think we have a good trio of young keepers in Hart, Carson and Foster. Carson is being written off on here a bit but I still think he is a very talented keeper. Lacks confidence a bit at the minute but that is due to McClaren putting him in the nightmare pressure situation against Croatia.
  3. Not sure Baheng is a striker. Played up front tonight but from what I have heard he's played attacking/central midfield the last few games.
  4. Baheng looks like he could be a real gem to me. Great with the ball at his feet, really composed and has definetely got some pace. By no means the finished product but certainly someone who has the skill to break through.
  5. Best player on the pitch for the Reserves tonight so far. Should definetly be given his chance.
  6. Baheng looks very good with the ball at his feet.
  7. You can't really argue that he's doing the wrong thing. There is no way the club needs a backroom staff of 20+. By the way I know for a fact that we still have a masseur as Sam brought 2 in with him and we had 1 before that.
  8. Might have a look to see how good the likes of Kadar, Tozer and Baheng are. Anyone know why Zamblera hasn't featured for Reserves or U18's yet?
  9. I think Watford will go up automatically. My head says West Brom will go with them but they have hit a spot of bad form recently. Every year somebody always makes a late push for the play-offs as well and I wonder who that'll be this year. I quite fancy Sheffield United, had a horrible season so far but they definetly have the players to make a push and they are only 9 pionts off 6th. Praying that Stoke don't get up. Absolutely shit town, hooligan fanbase and a horrible style of football.
  10. More of a comment on football in general rather than NUFC. I just find it sad you never see a team come up anymore and believe they can compete for top 6.
  11. Surely I'm not the only bored with the lack of competition in the Premier League and how year after year the same teams seem to runaway with it. IMO the Championship is becoming much more fascinating. In the Premiership 16 pionts seperate the top 4. In the Championship just 3 pionts seperate the top 4. Gap from 1st to bottom in Premiership is 54 pionts. In the Championship it's 27. Everything is much closer in the Championship and about 14 teams still have realistic chances at getting in the playoffs or getting promoted. Premiership seems over already, only thing up for grabs really is 4th place and two of the relegation places.
  12. Leaving in about 30 mins. Hopefully we stuff them.
  13. Resigned because he was half a season into a contract which he hadn't signed and was not happy with promises being broken.
  14. BBC reporting that all 20 clubs have agreed to explore a proposal in which season would be extended to 39 games and the extra game would be played abroad. The English Premier League is considering playing some matches overseas, BBC Sport has learned. At a meeting in London on Thursday, all 20 clubs agreed to explore a proposal to extend the season to 39 games. Those 10 extra games would be played at venues around the world, with cities bidding for the right to stage them. It is understood the additional fixtures could be determined by a draw but that the top-five teams could be seeded to avoid playing each other. It is unlikely that any decision will be taken before the Premier League's annual summer meeting in June. Should the proposal get the go-ahead, cities in Asia, Middle East and North America are likely to show a strong interest in hosting the extra games. BBC Sport believes there would be five venues, with two games - on a Saturday and Sunday - taking place at each one. BBC sports editor Mihir Bose says the Premier League's decision to explore such a move is a "logical" one. "The growth of the Premier League has been impressive in the last 15 years thanks to the sale of television rights in this country," he said. "But now the market in the United Kingdom is becoming saturated and it is the overseas market which is now the big target area." A number of top-flight clubs already play matches around the world as they seek to capitalise on the huge global interest in the English game. Manchester United are regular visitors to Asia, Middle East and America while other clubs are beginning to follow their lead. "This is a chance for the Premier league to showcase their product around the world," added Bose. "Some fans may feel aggrieved, but their concerns will be outweighed by the advantages. "Clubs will see this as a chance to make more money so they can invest in new facilities and better players." Just which cities "It will be like cities bidding for the Olympic Games or the World Cup." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7232390.stm
  15. Enough pre-Keegan staff there to let him know that Beye is a way better player than Carr, he also showed great dedication with how fast he got back here from the A.C.O.N. He will have had a full week in training too so I think he will start ahead ofr Carr. Great dedication? How come Diouf was back and able to play on the bench for Bolton yet a day later Habib wasn't available for selection. Only takes 6 hours on a plane, not exactly great dedication.
  16. Martins, Beye and Faye back for next week. Woop Woop.
  17. Won't play. Hasn't got his UK visa yet so can't play. Smokescreen? Doubt it. It's not that simple getting the visa even if it's fasttracked. If it's true that he didn't have a visa on Thursday then I'd say there's no way he'll have one for tomorow.
  18. Want Sunderland to win. Will be much better for football in general if the dominance of the Big 4 is broken.
  19. Won't play. Hasn't got his UK visa yet so can't play.
  20. Rozehnal has left permanently. It's one of those deals where a fee has been agreed and Lazio have agreed to pay up in the summer but couldn't get the new contract with Roz agreed in time so just took him on loan for to make sure they got him before the window closed.
  21. Lets just hope it he finds his feet after our game at the weekend.
  22. Doing really well at Villareal now.
  23. We've done the right thing and written off this season. It would have been nice to get a signing but as long as we get the people we need in the summer then I'll be happy.
