I really couldn't care less what footballers get up to off the field.

Think he wants to leave Arsenal for good as he wants first team football.

Linked with Lassana Diarra in a couple of todays papers. One of the articles linking us with him says if they ask too much then we'll try for Gilberto instead but Diarra is our preference.

The Albert goal is my favourite Toon goal of all time.

Think Keane's doing a pretty good job there. If he keeps them up it will be a successful season for them IMO.

It's a massive game tommorow, and if we win, we will be right up there and with a win at Wigan, whose knows where we could finish ? Fuck me, lol. Lets hang about a minute. If we do beat Derby and Wigan all we'll have done is beaten 4 of the bottom 5 teams, that's hardly a massive achievment is it. The real test will come when we come up against top half teams.

To be honest whatever news sources say he would cost is far underestimated. You'd have no chance in getting him for £8m when you consider russian clubs are notoriously difficult when it comes to selling their russian players. Arshavin is Zenit's star player, they are in the champions league next season, Russia has a cap on foreigners, all this would make it near impossible to get him for under £10m IMO.

19 year-old arrested on suspicion of rape. No word if it's a player yet.

How do you work that out? I got 6 months for a £10, 3 months for £5 and £10 signing fee. I didn't mean the cost, I meant the insinuation that all televised NUFC matches are on Setanta. No, i mean Sky and Setanta show a roughly even amount of NUFC matches. Plus we got a lot of preseason freindlies on Setanta this year.

D.Mail says D.Mirror says Eriksson thinks he's getting Owen for £8m

West Ham have already said they are not signing anyone in January. -
If so, I'd be inclined to let him go now. Pay the lazy, good for nothing twat up and pack his bags for him. He's cost us a fortune in wages and wasted medical resource. Lets make a statement and release the bastard. That makes no sense. We'd be paying his contract up which would cost us exactly the same as letting it expire only he'd then be able to join another team and get yet more more money. Also Babayaro would have to agree to having his contract payed up, you can't just get rid of him.

Gonna be real tough, hopefully we'll be able to nick it though.

Enrique LB, Zog LW and Milner RW. Problem solved. Atleast until Duff comes back anyway.

Was fucking brilliant tonight. Must play as a striker.

Sounds good.

Not looking forward to this.

Maybe not but we should not be having this debate. We have squad capable of getting in Europe and we should not be struggling like we are and putting in such poor performances. A lot of teams have a squad capable of getting into Europe, we can't all get there. It's Allardyce's job to make sure we do get there.
-
yes because our Managers not a tactical genius we lost to Derby, no blame can be put on the players. It's the managers job to motivate the players and get them up for the game. Also in case you don't remember it Allardyce's genius idea to start Amoebi instead of Martins. The team we put out that night motivated or not should have been capable of beating/not losing to derby, the 10's of thousands they pick up every we should have been motivation enough to beat the likes of derby. Based on that logic there is no need for Allardyce if the squad didn't need motivating. It's easy to go into the game thinking we would coast it especially after they had just lost 6-0 to Liverpool and it was Allardyce's job to make sure we didn't get complacent, the fact is we played shit that night, Allardyce put out the wrong team and didn't have the players up for it.

Yep forgot the fact there are 9 teams below us, we lost to Derby! Thats the important part How long are they going to below us though? Relegation zone is now only 7 pionts below us and we are closer to 15th than we are to 9th and that could go to 17th depending on results today and tomorow.
-
We are the only team to lose to Derby. That just about sums up Allardyce's reign.

So say the NOTW, Times and People this morning.

In real trouble now. A poor performance and defeat against Arsenal could seal his fate now.

Only 7 pionts off the relegation zone now.
