Please tell me that's a joke. Whoooooosh!
-
You cursed it now! It's 2-2.

I'd argue that pace is a hugely underrated part of the game. Obviously it is not as crucial to a player as skill but think about the 3 best teams in the league, Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea, and they all have pace in their team.
-
Was thinking the same thing last inght. In a different league to all our other DM's.
-
they need it looking at theyre past results They're not that bad, if we played our strongest academy side every week we would do very well but most of the better players are playing reserve team football rather than academy games. Exactly. Danquah, Donaldson and LuaLua are all eligible for U18 football still.
-
No chance that players like Rooney would play as it would clash with the start of the Premiership season.
-
You have to remember the side will mainly comprise of very inexperienced players as the top players won't be leaving their clubs in the middle of August to play in the Olympics.

Fabregas. Not even a contest in my eyes.

I think if he qualifies for Europe he is definetly safe. I think if he misses Europe he will be in a difficult position and it will depend on a number of circumstances such as FA Cup performance, position in the league, team performances and how his signings have performed.

so says the NOTW. I'd take it with a huge pinch of salt being the NOTW but he would be a vast improvement on Amoebi.

Went for a double on MK Dons and Leeds for tomorow.

Speaking of good value, Villa at 8/5 against Bolton and Watford at 5/4 against Palace could be nice little earners.
-
We aren't eligible to host a Europeon cup final as we don't have enough hotel rooms in the city.

Don't think we really want to be playing Emre away from home. I'd go with the same team except Barton for Emre and Taylor for Beye.
-
I would be stunned if he signed. Mainly because he is not Allardyce's type of player, when I have watched him in the Eredivisie he has a habit of ending up all over the field but rarely at LB. I've seen him end up starting LB and then wandering over to play on the RW.

Been thinking about where England's Euro 2008 qualifying campaign has gone wrong and I think part of the problem is far too much of the squad is living off reputation. Firstly, you have Paul Robinson who has been shocking for the last year and a bit but still manages to get in the team ahead of Carson who has done virtually nothing wrong for Villa and was also one of Charlton best players last year. Next you have to look at the back 4. From what I read this week and heard on TV and Radio if Neville had been fit he would have played RB, this to me seems insane considering Richards has become one of the best defenders in the country but because of Neville's reputation he will wrongly walk back into the team. Also in my opinion Carragher is a better or as good of a defender as Ferdinand yet Carragher was never given a look in and eventually forced off the international scene. Looking at LB the starter seems to be Ashley Cole who has been a shadow of the player he was aty Arsenakl but yet again because of his reputaion he walks into the team whenever fit. Midfield has improved dramatically over the last few months, no complaints here. Rooney and Owen seems to be status quo up front but for me they haven't been that fantastic as a pair. Owen worked MUCH better with Heskey and Rooney hadn't scored for almost 3 years until the other day, surely that says something. Surely I am not the only one who thinks that the England team is currently selected too much based on what people have done in the past rather than what they are doing in the present.

Get Sammy Lee here methinks. Would certainly do a good job.
-
Chronicle has quotes from Sam saying he'll be back next month.
-
Le Havre confirm he has signed for us.
-
Nothing would change really. The only thing that would change is next time we get a new shirt it would most likely have Virgin Money on instead of Northern Rock. Nothing would change with current shirts.
-
I don't think it matters i.e. I think there may be a mutual agreement to cancel his contract and sign for us as a free agent. The only ways he would be able to come here would be for him to retire as a player and join our coaching staff, in which case Bolton would still hold his player registration for the duration of his current contract, leaving him unable to play for us. Alternatively we could buy him in January or wait for his contract to expire.
-
Was he a coach at Bolton while Sam was there? If he was then he must have something? Nope was only appionted after Big Sam left.
-
Maybe it's me but I really don't see the logic behind comments like that. Just because you were a good player it doesn't mean you'll be a good coach. Clarkie has been doing his coaching badges and has worked with the first team and obviously must have something about him for Allardyce to keep him on. Also the Reserves who Clarkie manages has only lost 1 game from 5 so far this season. But don't let facts get in the way of a good vendetta.

Why is almost every contribution that you make to this forum negative? Haven't seen the match yet but if he was at faulty today he makes a fair point as he got ripped apart by Petrov last week.

Only game that could have been avoidable is the Man City/'Boro. The rest were moved for Europe, TV or police reasons.
