Depressing.

Regardless of your personal opinion do you think a loss at Blackburn tomorow coupled with the likely defeat against Arsenal will get Sam the sack?

Not unexpected to be honest. A lot of people will be putting money on because it is highly possible that defeat tomorow coupled with defeat against Arsenal will be the end.

Looking bakc we proboboly should have gone for Sven.

Knowing our luck we'll feel the bakclash at the weekend.

Maybe not the top 4 but certainly teams in the top 10. Again difficult to agree when there are better managers who would do a better job. I would be furious if one of them was given our job. To be honest I'd be pretty content with Boothroyd as our manager, probobly Shearer as well. If Wise and Ince get thier sides promoted this year then I think any doubts I have about them would go.

Not prepared because they are not good enough. Boothroyd - Got Watford to the Premiership. When they got the Premiership they spent no money and there best player was out for the season. Back in the Championship and are currently top. Ince - Managed to keep a Macclesfield side up that looked doomed. Now at MK Dons and in his first season is currently top of League 2. Wise - Fought hard against relegation last year. Now in League 1 and sitting in 5th despite having 15 pionts deducted, selling thier best players and spending nearly nothing. If they hadn't had the 15 piont deduction they would be 10 pionts clear at the top. Shearer - Untried but so was Roy Keane, surely a chairman in the top two divisions should have a punt. Top 3 have sohwn they are good managers and should really be given a shot at a big club.

Hopefully he'll be fit for the transfer window!

There's no decent English managers because the Premiership is dominated by money the big 4 are not prepared to give the job to an Englishman. Also chairman seem afraid to take punt on a young English manager and instead go for guys who have been there before. If I was a chairman of a Premiership club the first 4 names on my list would be Ince, Boothroyd, Wise and Shearer

Depends on who we but in January tbh.

Roeder was definetly not a great manager but he was definetly more attacking. I can never see us winning a game 4-2 under Sam like we did against AZ at home.

But surely so much (the medium to long term term future of the club) shouldn't hinge on so little (four fixtures, including two very challenging ones) I think you only have to look at the able though. If we do that poorly in our next 4 fixtures then I can see us being down to atleast 14th, 15th or 16th and after almost half the season you know your in trouble if you are that far down the league.

I think it depends on form between now and 15th December. We have 4 games in that period Blackburn (A), Arsenal (H), Birmingham (H) and Fulham (A). If we don't beat Birmingham and Fulham and do poorly against Balckburn and Arsenal then I think he has to go. Then we have 15 days to find a new manager before January and then we must spend big in January. If he does well in those 4 games then I think we keep him and back him in January.

Very concerned not just by the sides performances but by performance of allardyce's signings. Smith - Least said about him the better, certainly not a midfielder Barton - Definetly not hit the heights so far, although you could excuse injury to an extent Viduka - Seems very injury prone and has been inconsistant at best Geremi - Has been nowhere near as good as he was in preseason Rozehnal - Looks decent enough, not been amazing though. Cacapa - Looks cool with the ball but seems to be outmuscled a lot, see Ashton goal and the Portsmouth incident. Beye - Much of a muchness. Hasn't played a lot lately, was poor against Man City though, got ripped apart by Petrov. Faye - Best signing by far. Looks a real good defender. So far I'd only consider 2 or 3 of his buys to have been successes and I'd be very nervous giving him big money in January.

Big Sam IS in real trouble. We are talking about whether he has a future after today. What is it going to be like next week after we have to go away to Blackburn and then play Arsenal.

Absolute rubbish performance. That was as bad as any performance we saw under Roeder, if not worse. Sam Allardyce is clearly a fraud. He came with the billing of being a tactical master and a man who was defensively mainded and would reinforce our leaky backline. Instead we have a man who encourages a defensive mentality in a team that can't defend. 0 shots on target is completely unacceptable.

Depressing.

Smith ahead of Milner. Absolutely shocking decision.

Terrible team from Sam. Just hope we can grab something from this game.
