The benefits for safe standing vastly outweigh any (theoretical) negatives. There's no real case against it other than the stigma of backing the re-introduction of standing given what happened at Hillsborough. I don't find it hard to believe, unfortunately. No doubt they were expecting to get far more tickets and had probably struck up a deal with Thomas Cook incorporating a handsome profit for Mike for doing nowt other than giving away 500 tickets out of 5000 (which nobody would have kicked up too much of a fuss about). One of their fan groups is called the Fedayeen . . . Make of that what you will. It's actually Fentagin. They're a relatively small club but have a good core fanbase. I would say there's nothing much to worry about, especially given they've never really played in Europe.

Actually when you see Turkish teams playing in Europe they usually get a following from just about any turk in the local vicinity regardless of the team they support. You see away ends littered with replica kits of various Turkish teams. Strange lot.
