The reaction to hall was similar to the one for Ramsey now imo. Granted different ages, but there were so many questions about why Hall wasn’t used more with Burn being at LB etc. He nailed it, which is why it’s too early to tell with Ramsey.

I’ve never said I’m ok with Howe picking his own players without questions, nobody would be happy with that. But the fact is Howe has had the final say in every single incoming, and we’ve largely knocked it out of the park. You can’t just re-write that because Elanga looks like a blooper.

Absolutely. He’s had the final say this whole time and look at the recruitment, it’s been excellent overall. Elanga looks rank, but the rest has been pretty flawless (too early to know on Ramsey).

I have every faith he’ll sort it out, history tells us he always does.

Yep, it can be turned around and I think he will. Today is very damaging though, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that it runs away from him from this point.

Sunderland offered absolutely nothing today. They were shite, but they were well up for it, way more than us, and fair play to them for that. The game was a terrible advert for the north east, they were just a lower grade of shite than us. It was a pig awful game with no quality whatsoever.

Deserves a pass this lad imo. Wouldn’t have played anywhere near as much as he has had Wissa not been injured. He’s been largely dogshit these last few games, but he’s no doubt exhausted. He needs taking out for a few games.
