  1. Not to mention the fact I don’t think we’d get rafa, I can’t see him leaving that ‘project’ so early on and he doesn’t break contracts.
  2. May I ask why? Not saying your wrong but Poch hasn't won anything so other than progressing teams and being younger than Rafa not sure how he out manages Rafa in any real area? Well one of the reasons as I said is I just wouldn’t go back, it very rarely works. Secondly I think if we were to have a shot at pochettino I think we’d be mad not to take it. He plays the type of football we’d all love to see, he’s a young progressive coach and it’s probably only a matter of time before he’s snapped up by a PSG/Man City/Real Madrid type elite club, we’d be mad not to execute the opportunity should it present itself. Rafa’s mint, we all love him and rightly so, but he won’t get another elite club and there’s probably a reason for that, so for those reasons I’d grab Poch ahead of Rafa should the opportunity arise.
  3. I would prefer we looked at alternatives to Rafa, I take all of the points about him having a blueprint and unfinished business etc, but i just wouldn't go back, it very rarely works. We've fond memories of Benitez and rightly so, but i'd leave it there, personally. Pochettino would be my first choice, I don't know enough about Allegri's style, but its obviously a very impressive CV! but Poch would be the one i'd go for.
  4. Allardyce on talksport earlier; 'I have no idea why Rafa was seen to have done a good job at newcastle, he was so negative and he did a wonderful PR job for himself in making the fans believe he did a good job up there'.
  5. Terms agreed according to their statement
  6. Yeah, maybe I should change the title ?!!
  7. Hi everyone, my company have teamed up with a co called Autograph Art (www.autographart.co.uk) to raffle this unbelievable one off chair. It's signed by Shearer, the man himself, and 50% of the profits from the sale are going to 'Save Association'. If you're not familiar with 'Save' it's a charity set up by Paul Stewart, Derek Bell, David Whyte and Ian Ackley, ex professional footballers who were all victims of sexual abuse in youth football. The charity aims to safeguard children in sport. You can read more here: https://www.saveassociation.com Comment below if you are interested and I'll allocate you a number, there's 100 numbers for sale and its £10 per number, the draw will take place live on Facebook once all tickets sold and paid. Any questions, just give me a shout, thanks to Bluf for allowing this post!! http://i63.tinypic.com/50rxh0.jpg http://i68.tinypic.com/bitfgg.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/10s7us5.jpg
  8. New 6 year deal signed Superb
  9. BBC and Sky now saying he’s not going anywhere
  10. A big bid will come in for Lascelles before the end of the window. A proper club wouldn't sell for less than £60m imo but I'd imagine Ashley will accept £30m and think he's won the daft fucking cunt. Nah. We may sell him (which is a disgrace) but it won’t be for £30m. We always seem to get decent fees, which makes our derisory offers the other way all the more infuriating. We'll see. Sissoko was obviously insane money at the time. For me you don't let Lascelles go for more than say Stones but I think Ashley has lost the plot myself. He'll take sub £40m for him imo. Carroll was insane money at the time (whether we should have sold or not is another debate, I still say we shouldn’t have sold him) as well. Imagine if we sold lascelles man? Jesus. It’s asking for relegation that.

  12. Rafa wanted to keep Thauvin didn't he? Wonder how he'd have turned out with the right manager Did he? That's news to me, my impression was that Thauvin didn't want to be here and pretty much made that obvious. Eh?
  13. Think if all the journos stopped praising him eventhough he's s***, the fun will stop actually. What we need is just a couple of these high-profile pundits, especially those who are exposed to the media on a daily basis, to say he's s*** and one of his loyal supporter say he isn't. Get that debate rolling on forever and at least some people will understand how pathetic he is as a manager. But to be honest, his last two jobs have really hit his reputation bad. Fair enough at Palace, it was the winless run that caught up with him. But at West Brom, everything is falling apart. Taxi-gate, the Chris Brunt row, the handshake snub he had after substituting his best player and the cringe interview he had following up to that incident. Ultimately, a relegation on his CV would be the icing on the cake but won't be the end of him. It’ll be the second relegation on his cv at that.
  14. he worked for nufc, and was sacked by ashley for not toeing the party line, other than that, you're spot on. Like i say, I think I got him confused with someone else. I still think its rubbish mind. i agree on the story.
  15. No he isn't. He's one of the better journos out there and hates Ashley and co. Can't remember that but I will take your word for it. Wonder if I'm getting him confused with another? Is Hope the one who used to blatantly come on here for stories? he used to post on here i think aye, cant remember his name though, others probably will. Hope called Mclaren out as well, can't see him toeing the ashley line, he was banned from the club for a while like luke edwards wasn't he?

  17. The publicity claim is laughable. Staveley is a deal maker, the worst publicity she could possibly have is failing to complete a deal.
