  1. Where did you read that? Not you Lovejoy a few days ago. Never wins headers. that was hardly the point I was making mind, but glad to see him bag. Aye, I'm not going to get into it again like, I know what you meant although I disagree. Ironically sniffing out and attacking headers like he did there is one of the things I've criticised him on I've not seen the goal, but let's hope he bags a couple, happy days all round.

  3. Allardyce favourite for the Wolves job.
  4. Ritchie been very good as well imo. Clark certainly been the biggest surprise.
  5. Yup. Terrible fit. Should have gone for Ancelotti when he was still available. we were just talking about this, every time i've seen mourinho he looks like he's just going through the motions and rocked up for another massive payday that s*** with the female doctor also appears to have had an impact on him i reckon I agree. His last few months at Chelsea seem to have fucked him big style. Doesn't seem the same bloke.
  6. I can't even be arsed to disect all of that from my phone. Agree to disagree
  7. If Rafa fancied him, he'd have been on the pitch when the game was won v brentford and barnlsey, he didn't appear in either, which is pretty telling. Yes,that is time for him to leave. No matter of his love for the club,if this continue... I think he'll be down the road by this time next year.
  8. Fair questions, but Mitro hasn't done enough in front of goal to justify the hefty price tag or compare his record to Gayle's (so far). We all know he has bags of potential, is young, new to (now two) foreign leagues, etc. And we know he brings a different aspect to our game. All his positive and negative attributes have been discussed to death here. If he were to leave, it won't be a great loss. I hope he stays and carves a place out for himself, but that's all upto Rafa. You missing a point. From the start of the season NUFC depends just on form and performance of 1 player.Gayle.If his form start to drop or he get hit by an injury everybody will expect miracles from other strickers who didnt made 200 min all together from the start of the season If we have comfort 2:0 in 70 min why Rafa dont give a chance to another striker?...or you expect if something happen to Gayle Diame will score 2,3 goals every match? If Rafa fancied him, he'd have been on the pitch when the game was won v brentford and barnlsey, he didn't appear in either, which is pretty telling.
  9. I've made my points so badly I'll sum up; I don't think he'll make it at rafa's NUFC. He's just not particularly good at anything. He misses big chances, he doesn't win much in the air, he makes bad decisions and is a hot head. Only minutes on the pitch can change this, minutes he is not getting. I don't buy the 'he's an outlet for us to hit' point. He should be, but he isn't, because he isn't very good in the air with his back to goal, despite his stature. The end.
  10. ah sorry, i thought you were taking the piss. watch it, he's offside.
  11. i'm retiring from this debate, i'm clearly alone in my views
  12. haha, aye, good old Alan would have solved this.
  13. Which point isn't valid? Do you think rafa trusts him? How was he against villa? Am I wrong about him being offside for the winner against Norwich? Saying he cost us against Villa, doesn't win headers, some bullshit about Norwich. A possible offside and a fairly poor cameo against Villa. Quick, throw him under the bus. He's s***. If you wanted to point to his lack of composure and pace. Then I'd tend to agree. But you're not. You're talking s***. i haven't even got to those points, my villa point was a reaction to someone claiming he came on 'as we were getting battered in the air', something he did the square root of f*** all to change, and if thats is what he is going to be used for, then he needs to win more in the air, because he currently doesn't. we could discuss the various guilt edged chances he's missed, the fact he is slow as f*** and has been disappointing so far as a whole and has done absolutely nothing to justify the love for him from the stands, no problem. He's a great cheerleader, i'll give him that, other than that he has an awful lot to do, and he isn't getting many minutes on the pitch to do it.

  15. Baring injuries, can you see him getting much game time? Yeah, he'll play when he's needed. I can still see him scoring at least another 7 or 8 this season. This is essentially my point. When is he needed? Barring injury he doesn't do what people on here think he does. Or not for me anyway. This 'outlet' and 'good in the air' stuff, I'm yet to see it this season like. He cost is points at villa and could have cost us the win at Norwich through through being s thick c***. Cost us the win against Villa even though he didn't concede the orignal corner, nor did he concede the 2nd corner that they actually scored from. Not to mention he didn't lose his man or flap at the cross. As for the Norwich game, he's one of the very reasons we won it due to their CB's absolutely shitting themselves at his presence. Absolutely ridiculous comment to even make. I missed the Norwich game and have only seen the sky footage of the last two goals, so I'll accept your point on that, he still could easily have been flagged for the last though.

Absolutely ridiculous comment to even make. Maybe I'm too negative on him because I'm disappointed as I thought he'd be better, but he could easily have been flagged for the last goal at Norwich, and he was nothing short of horseshit against villa, that stupid flick especially. Would love to be proved wrong, but as I said originally, I don't think rafa trusts him, and I don't blame him.

He cost is points at villa and could have cost us the win at Norwich through through being s thick cunt. My opinion is rafa doesn't trust him, and I can't see how that changes without minutes on the pitch, which he isn't getting. I've only seen the majority of games he's played this season from the stands, so I haven't rewatched footage etc, but he doesn't won anywhere near enough headers to justify this 'outlet' tag. If he was brought on because we were getting 'killed in the air' against villa then he didn't do his job, because he didn't win fuck all, and that's a familiar pattern imo.
  18. He doesn't win anywhere near enough headers for his size, certainly not enough to become the 'outlet' you talk of. That more clear? Watch the villa footage, see how many he wins to justify being brought on 'because they were killing us in the air'. From the stands, I counted 0. Could be wrong.

He was giving a talk at the city library. I say 'giving a talk', it was a debate about a new building project him and Giggs are trying to get passed. It's being met with lots of resistance from locals and he's having to try to talk them round.
  20. Maybe you're right. Just seemed a tad odd to me, more so because I watched him warm up for pretty much the entire 45 mins.
  21. Have you been reading the Chronicle? http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitezs-decision-leave-aleksandar-12046018 IMO, he wasn't used because he wasn't needed. If it was still 0-0 at 65/70 minutes then we'd have seen him. But we were controlling the game and didn't need to change anything which is why the subs came on late. He'll have a part to play this season, but he cant drop Gayle when he is scoring so many goals. Aye, he was brought on against Norwich becuase we needed to break them down and against Rotherham becuase they'd won about 40 corners. Probably the same thinking against Villa too as they were killing us in the air for the last 20 minutes. He gives us an outlet to hit when under pressure as well. 2-0 up against Barnsley he's probably thinking the pace of Atsu, Diame and Gayle can get in behind. He's got to start winning headers to become that outlet you mention.
