    Alan Shearer

watching it now, it's very good. fair play, i generally can't stand 'the true geordie' but he's had a blinder here.
  3. Only injuries will stop him doing so. Or a move abroad.

    RIP Freddy Shepherd

a sad day, he had his flaws but always wanted nufc to punch their weight. RIP Freddie.
  5. this is what will happen. give it 4 weeks or so, west ham will be at the door and he'll go.
  6. in what way? He likes a striker in the mould of Gayle to run the channels, especially as his number 1 choice upfront. He has a mobile target man in Joselu already. Edit: Origi has been mentioned and I can see that being possible, however I'd honestly rather keep Gayle I think. I watch Liverpool a fair bit due to living round the area and my lasses family all being Reds and whenever I've seen him he looks completely f***ing braindead and just s*** all round. Fast, but nowt else. yeah, you're probably right, crouch is the exception to the rule i guess.
  7. he'd be my choice (as flawed as it is), i'd love him back here.
  8. You saying you don't believe the likes of the last day berahino bid?
  9. I reckon we've seen the last of this fella.
  10. a quote from 'RAWK' about Carragher's recent comments: Its the same snide s**** Carra has been peddling for years in is column for the mail. Rafa causes problems at clubs because he calls out the shithouses in suits who work at boardroom level and this is worth reading too. Rafa, like he did at Liverpool, can wrap a player up with a low transfer fee and wages, take it to the board/owner and they fcuk it up. THIS is what pisses Rafa off. Rafa NEVER asked for more budget money. he only was told this is what you can spend without player sales--get on with it. Then he does get on with it, finds and makes deals, then the board/owners don't sanction the deal. Carra and others need to get on with it themselves. The transfer window is still open. Why expect a manager to stop looking for transfers just because the League started. A bit precious from pundits. They love the Jim White transfer window slams shut but then tell a manager to forget about transfers when the window is still open. Has Carra told Jurgen ( and the other 18 League managers) the same? No double standard there then isn't there?
  11. He's got to sell them before he can bring anyone else in. He said before the game that he would need to give them a chance to show other clubs that they're fit and worth signing. Missed this tbf. What if they get injured though? That's the risk you take, if they were kept out of the picture completely then other clubs wouldn't be able to see them. I'm not saying I'd have done it BTW, just saying he openly stated he was going to do it. Even said 'I'm can't lie to the fans' about his plans for the team tonight. Hadnt seen that. Still think it was the wrong decision, but at least he was honest with his plans.
  12. He got it wrong tonight like, no doubt about it.
  13. got better as the game went on. Thought he was pretty poor first half.
  14. Yeah, pretty misleading tweet from the journo. It's absolutely baseless when you read it, and doesn't really even cover the headline.
  15. Delph and Townsend next week according to the northern echo.
  16. Reports now that the fee isn't agreed and Chelsea 'very much still in the picture'.
  17. Multiple sources don't simultaneously all decide to make up the same story at exactly the same time to "stir the pot". Clearly a Rafa camp briefing as he's not happy and wants to remind Ashley and Charnley that they need start meeting their end of the bargain. Couldn't disagree more. Many times one media outlet has ran with a story and the rest pick up on it very quickly and without clarification or validation deliver the same with slight twists, even though its based on absolutely nothing. You really think Rafa has the hump with the club over Willy & Tammy? This is a briefing from Rafa's camp, that's blatantly obvious.
  18. 'Clearly gone back to the old ways'? He's just binned his most trusted man in terms of recruitment. Let's not go over the top here.
  19. Getting canny tedious this mind.
  20. Chelsea according to tomorrow's papers.
  21. It's black and white and there's no wonga, job done.
