  1. Wow, they've all been in jobs more than a year. Who was the last Newcastle manager who lasted less than a year? We are in serious crap, I think we're in as much crap as we've been during the last 3 years, that could change as the season goes on but we're still in the crap because we've had our easy start to the season, the harder games are coming thick and fast now. Allardyce having to fix the foundations has nothing to do with his ultra-weird and repeated team selections and tactics.
  2. I'm not sure he's exaggerating at all, I can't remember too many shots against Wigan, the supposed save on the line from Bramble was going wide, the only shot I remember was from Smith in the first half on about 35 minutes, I think the keeper saved it on 42 minutes when it got to him. I can't remember too much happening in the Derby goal-mouth at Pride Park either.
  3. Howay man. Did you see the Wigan game or what? Or the Derby game? Fulham? Derby away? sunderland? These are teams that get humiliated on a regular basis and we huffed and puffed in an attempt to get a point against all of them. Once is fine, twice is tolerable, but every bloody week? Wullie, lower your expectations, you're expecting too much.
  4. Blackburn were within days of sacking Souness before we took him away from Ewood and paid them for that so don't use them as a reason to hold onto Allardyce. How long has O'Neill been at Villa? I'll give you Everton. Pompy have had Redknapp since 2005.
  5. I'm not going to knock Shearer too much, I bet the whole place would get a massive lift from such an appointment. I don't know if that would out-weigh the negatives but it would be a massive lift for some.
  6. I can understand how the manager of Hull might see trying to beat Wigan as expecting too much.
  7. He ditched the 3 man midfield last game and replaced it with a 5 man midfield.
  8. Just play our best 11 every game and allow them what he asks of the fans and club, time. Is it a coincidence that we start picking up results when he keeps a settled side? I'd use one formation and stick with it, that formation would be 4-4-2 until the players were once again comfortable and confident, that's the time to try new things, not while people are trying to settle into a new club and for a few of them a new country.
  9. Back to basics, dead easy.
  10. Getting it right once in 6 attempts is pathetic, correct.
  11. Somebody has made a decision to remand him is custody, that decision will have been made for 1 of 2 reasons. Firstly they may think he'll do a runner to try and avoid going to court. Or, they think he's a danger to society. His half brother did a runner so they may think he'd also try and avoid going to court, he's got enough cash to go anywhere, my guess is the second, they think he's a danger.
  12. I hope he comes back on fire (not literally), we need him firing on all cylinders.
  13. Appointing Robson proves we got it right once under your beloved.
  14. Sorry to piss on your chips, closer to return = closer to next injury.
  15. It would be interesting to know how many of the Allardyce apologists actually go and watch games, it's really easy saying give him more time if you don't actually invest any of your time in the club. I can't remember many, if any thinking that way after spending 12 to 13 hours on Boxing Day to watch a load of rubbish served up as our festive treat. I'm not going to Chelsea tomorrow so will not try to tell those who do how they should feel about whatever happens.
  16. Being remanded isn't a good sign, I can see him going down this time. I just hope for his sake that the Magistrates Court handle it and not pass it to Crown Court.
  17. If issues are ducked on the main site then it's time to pack up.
  18. It's our football club, we've got more right to express an opinion than some hack in London. Dealing with the issue gives both sides the opportunity to have the chance to say how they feel, it doesn't all go one way. Hiding from an issue is worse that talking about it as far as I’m concerned.
  19. I'm not sure as I don't have a problem with it.
  20. When has not saying something ever had anything to do with the argument?
  21. This. I can't see what we will gain simply by sacking him now. Its a pity we have Chelsea next because 3 points (whether won by skill or luck), would probably calm things down just a little. A point even, if we manage to get one by some almighty miracle, would help loads If we get anything from Chelsea then I hope it's by attacking them from the first whistle. If he goes for a bore draw and it works then he'll never change.
