    Souness Vs Roeder

We all lost out by employing the two managers, that's all that's important.
  2. Technology will move on and we'll eventually be able to build something on the east stand, I wouldn't be surprised if we could do something by going up rather than out. I think the hassle would be getting foundations which are strong enough to take so much weight over such a small footprint.
  3. I'm not sure that Leazes Terrace is the problem, a few houses are closer to the ground, I'm not sure if they're Terrace Place or St James Street, they run at 90' to Leazes Terrace. I'm surprised we didn't try to do something with the Milburn when that was built, it should have been built closer to Barrack Road.
  4. Neville's x 2, Giggs, Beckham, Scholes and Butt are a few I can think of in the mid to late 90's, I would think at least 4 of those won it while still a teenager.

If that's the case then I'm sure you'll be able to provide a link to this weeks or even last weeks argument about the same shit.

I don't insist on having the same argument on a weekly basis with NE5 so there you go.

I can't understand how 104 people can vote for either of those 2, to those who did, thanks for a good laugh.
  8. The fact that N'Zogbia was 18 shouldn't come into it, Man U won a championship with a team which had a load of 18 year old's in it. N'Zogbia may or may not have been our best player, I can't remember many better. Duff was mainly a back-up player at Chelsea, he wasn't the same player that played so well for Blackburn, don't get me wrong I expected better from him because of what I'd seen of him in the few games he played that I was able to watch. He wasn't as good as he had been and didn't look brilliant before we got him. I still thought that he was a bargain when we bought him, I just thought he was a purchase that we didn't need when we had limited funds but that's been done to death. I agree with both you and Baggio about how we should do, we've still got time to improve.
  9. I wouldn't try to tell you that we wouldn't have got more points if Owen had been fit but that would have been down to having him rather than the manager. Roeder struggled because he couldn't get the best out of his players and seemed to do better when he had no decisions to make. It appeared that when Roeder made a decision we got beat, when the team picked itself we did OK. My expectations of Allardyce are that he should do better than Roeder did if he's a better manager, I do think he is a better manager but I think he might be too stuck in his ways and that might prevent him from being an even better manager. I'm not convinced that he's going to reach the heights that he should be capable of reaching but only time will tell, I hope he proves to be more adaptable than he seems to have been so far.
  10. N'Zogbia was arguably our best player the season before and Roeder went out and spent 33% of his transfer budget on left wing, I'm not that surprised that the player had a lip on.
  11. I could probably look at each player and find at least 1 game when I could say the same thing about them.

If somebody asked if I'd prefer cancer or a heart attack I'd say niether, I'll use the same answer to this question.
  13. I doubt Ashley will have any say in Allardyce staying or going, I get the impression that he's appointed somebody who he trusts to do the job right and will allow him to get on with it.
  14. Sir Bobby couldn't have been any more an instant success than guiding the first team he picked to an 8-0 home victory, Shearer turned from being a liability and banged 5 goals in. I think Sir Bobby took over a worse club than Allardyce has taken over and had less money to spend at the beginning and he had to get a lot of high earners off the books before he could start to move forwards.
  15. When did N'Zogbia walk all over Roeder? The only thing I know of him doing is playing with his mobile phone during a Roeder team talk.
  16. Injuries are no excuse for Roeder, you have a short memory because we had better results when players normally picked by Roeder were injured.
  17. Roeder is a crap manager so I wish him no luck at all, the bloke hasn't got a clue no matter how well intentioned he was, I feel sorry for the Norwich fans getting stuck with him. The only difference with him this time is that he might just go down with somebody’s team instead of creating his own set of relegation candidates.
  18. Allardyce seems to understand that we have a problem away from home, where he's struggling at the minute is recognising that he's partly to blame for creating the problem. The players are not comfortable when put under pressure because we have no outlet, we have nobody to take the ball into the danger area and give the defenders a little time to think and re-organise themselves. We take thousands away to every game we play and those supporters should be an asset but they're not because as soon as we see the team sheet we think we're going to get beat. If we think we're going to have a go at the opposition then we're upbeat and will shout for 90 minutes, that doesn't happen with negative tactics.
  19. I like the last line, you should have gone into politics. Obviously if you have then forget this post.
  20. Thanks, it's probably my old eyes.
  21. Pray tell us more. We're starting to see the effects of the disastrous summer transfer window. The bizarre allegiance to Knight, the pointless signing of Harewood, the lack of a RB with Mellberg forced to play there, and teams realising that is our weak point and attacking it, like Bolton did today. He's not lost me, but I'd be lying if i said I wasn't a little concerned at some things. It looks like you're missing Hughes.
