I could probably look at each player and find at least 1 game when I could say the same thing about them.

If somebody asked if I'd prefer cancer or a heart attack I'd say niether, I'll use the same answer to this question.

I doubt Ashley will have any say in Allardyce staying or going, I get the impression that he's appointed somebody who he trusts to do the job right and will allow him to get on with it.

Sir Bobby couldn't have been any more an instant success than guiding the first team he picked to an 8-0 home victory, Shearer turned from being a liability and banged 5 goals in. I think Sir Bobby took over a worse club than Allardyce has taken over and had less money to spend at the beginning and he had to get a lot of high earners off the books before he could start to move forwards.

When did N'Zogbia walk all over Roeder? The only thing I know of him doing is playing with his mobile phone during a Roeder team talk.
-
Injuries are no excuse for Roeder, you have a short memory because we had better results when players normally picked by Roeder were injured.
-
Roeder is a crap manager so I wish him no luck at all, the bloke hasn't got a clue no matter how well intentioned he was, I feel sorry for the Norwich fans getting stuck with him. The only difference with him this time is that he might just go down with somebody’s team instead of creating his own set of relegation candidates.

Allardyce seems to understand that we have a problem away from home, where he's struggling at the minute is recognising that he's partly to blame for creating the problem. The players are not comfortable when put under pressure because we have no outlet, we have nobody to take the ball into the danger area and give the defenders a little time to think and re-organise themselves. We take thousands away to every game we play and those supporters should be an asset but they're not because as soon as we see the team sheet we think we're going to get beat. If we think we're going to have a go at the opposition then we're upbeat and will shout for 90 minutes, that doesn't happen with negative tactics.
-
That's the problem, so was Derby and Reading away.

I like the last line, you should have gone into politics. Obviously if you have then forget this post.

Thanks, it's probably my old eyes.

I meant the block of text.

Pray tell us more. We're starting to see the effects of the disastrous summer transfer window. The bizarre allegiance to Knight, the pointless signing of Harewood, the lack of a RB with Mellberg forced to play there, and teams realising that is our weak point and attacking it, like Bolton did today. He's not lost me, but I'd be lying if i said I wasn't a little concerned at some things. It looks like you're missing Hughes.

I wonder if he needs a hand?

Where's HTT when you need him?

We're in no position to take the piss.

We've got some cracking posts in this and other threads.

I would agree today that a draw would have been a good result but I wouldn't have before the game, I don't know if that makes me fickle, I see it more as looking at the two situations at different times. It's a bit like me not wanting to win £10 on the lottery last night but being happy with it today as I had none of the numbers. I also agree that we're making progress, or at least it looks as if we are off the pitch, I don't see any progress away from home and can't see any in the near future if we go out with the same formation as we have so far away from home, I really hope I'm wrong about away form.

My guess is that Mort will decide who the manager is and he will look at everything at the club before making a decision.
-
The non-football men are watching the same as us, I don't think they are non-football men anyway, I just think they weren't tied down to a specific club or if they were they are keeping it quiet. Having said that, I think Allardyce will be judged mainly on results and our away results look as if they'll play a big part in that. I also think attendances will play a part in any decision, both home and away. Mort wants away support, he'll not like it if we're taking fewer fans to away games and I can see people stopping going if we're throwing up the white flag before kick-off.

It would be shite on here if we all held the same views, I think the mix of people on here is what makes for good debate, long may it continue.

I don't see anything wrong with sniffer coming on to moan, if that's what he does. I moan when we lose and doubt I'll ever change because I don't take defeat lightly. I have more of a problem with people who accept defeat than I do with those who don't.
-
He didn't directly say he was playing for a draw but he did say that a point would have been a good result. A draw is better than a defeat but Reading had lost twice as many as they'd won before yeaterday. Reading have the worst defensive record in the Premiership yet we were worried about them scoring, something they'd only managed to do 12 times before yesterday while they'd let in 22 goals before yesterday. Only three teams have scored more than us, one is Portsmouth who scored 7 in one game, they did that against the team we played yesterday. I agree that we lost against Derby and Reading because of poor passing and an inability to retain posession, I doubt that would have been the case if we'd gone out to get at them.

Shit, another stroppy teenager.
