  1. Anybody fancy a forum invasion if they appoint him? I'm taking it for granted that they actually have a forum.
  2. Really unbelievable, they all seem to be ginger as well. I think they should just stick to that shit version of Rugby.
  3. I’d love him to get the job so that I could give him some stick, I hate the bastard with a passion.
  4. Wigan fans are mongs if the ones interviewed on SSN are anything to go by, they actually want Souness.
  5. Has anybody on here got a family member who was alive the last time we won it? Not a single member of my family is alive today who was born the last time we won it, how's that for a little perspective?
  6. I wouldn't give a shit how we won it, if we did.
  7. Allardyce - 5, not what I expected, doesn't look like living up to the hype so far . Beye - 5, too early to tell. Enrique - 6, not bad. Faye - 6, played well at times not so well at other times. Viduka - 4, what's the point, his injury record is as bad as it was at Boro. Barton - 3, too soon to tell. Rozehnal - 8, probably the best defender so far but had a mare against Derby. Cacapa - 7, reads the game well and was let down by team mates at W/E, needs to bounce back. Smith - 4, waste of money so far, crap in midfield and lost a lot of what made him good at Leeds. Geremi - 6, should be doing better, needs to find form from pre-season.
  8. We shouldn't be giving the ball to the opposition so close to goal.
  9. One thing which looks wrong, other than the £500k warehouse lease is the money to make us debt free. Ashley paid in the region of £133 million for the clubs shares and he's given £75 million towards the debt, that's much less than the ITK is claiming.
  10. Anybody can go into the directors box, you can buy tickets in the same way as you can for any other area of the ground.
  11. The lease was for £150,000 a year, I don't know if they renegotiated it before bailing out.
  12. Most threads go off topic so I wouldn't worry, others can bring it back on topic if that's what they want to do.
  13. I've just read it again, you're right.
  14. Read todays Sunday Sun, Ashley is away next weekend on business. http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/sundaysun/tm_headline=mike-warned-don-8217-t-get-shirty%26method=full%26objectid=20057479%26siteid=50081-name_page.html
  15. I can only comment for myself, I like reading and learning about things, pictures are just an easy way to make money without having to put too much effort into it.
  16. I'd start a fit Dyer before the Smith we're seeing, he's done nothing.
  17. Yes, before you say anything, I was given it.

    You're not alone in that.
  19. Shearer only has good things to say about Bobby in his book, a book which is crap by the way. I don't think I've read a book so quick in my life. For those who can't read, the Shearer book will be perfect as it's mainly pictures.
  20. It's good that once the dust settles we can see all of our problems at the back are not down to one man.

I don't really want to turn this thread into a board/bored thread but you've asked some questions which I'll try to answer. I think it's far too early to judge how things are going to go under Mort, all I know is that so far we are better off, I have no idea how things will turn out long term. I'm confident that everything that has been done so far has been the right thing to do. Ashley took over the club and has so far reduced the debt to a level which we should be able to work with. I don't want this club to be relying on Ashley pumping money in to finance the club, I want the club to move on and become self-sufficient and be able to finance whatever the manager wants to do without having to get out the begging bowl, to that extent I think we're much better off. I'm surprised that you can't bring yourself to acknowledge that. I think both Dyer and Solano should have been replaced, I think both brought something to the team which we no longer have and we're suffering for that. Dyer had pace which had the opposition worried and Solano had creativity which I'm yet to see this season. I think our defence has improved individually but not as a unit, I think that is down to a lack of understanding between the players and poor tactics/formations by the manager, I hope he learns from his mistakes. I don't think I've said anything controversial in that post so let's keep the thread on topic, Alan Smith.
  22. To be fair to you it might end up as quite a good prediction to what we actually put out rather than your wish list.

I don't know how you managed to get them into this thread but well done.
  24. Agreed and I said the same before a ball was kicked this season.
