Agreed, I would probably have him back if his fitness was OK because I think his biggest problem is Rogers not liking him for some reason rather than him being finished.

I can't remember how optimism feels as far as football goes, I'm optimistic that we've turned a corner while pissed off that we persevered with 2 pricks for far too long.

I'm not a critic, I just don't believe he deserved the job and I hadn't seen anything to praise him for, that part has changed. So far the signs are good and if he keeps it up he will get more praise. All I want from him now is to pick the best players when they are fit to play, if he does that he'll get as long as he needs if he's working on improving us and delivering.

So far it's felt like recovering from a terminal illness and long may it continue.

McClaren has done more to improve our performance in one game than Pardew did here in his entire spell here. To think of the players that piece of shit wasted while he was here and some of the shite we churned out.

I've just watched the game for the first time and I thought that we played well and shouldn't have anything to worry about this season. Even the defence look as if they just need games to get to match fitness and gain a good understanding. Our plusses far outweigh the negatives on that showing but time will tell and we'll need a few more games to settle.

I didn't listen to it or watch it but I've been told by one of his biggest critics that we've played well apart from in defence so it sounds like he's made a reasonable start, apart from picking Obertan. Changing our style of play was his first hurdle for me and it seems like we've made a start.

It looks like he may not have been injured and had his head turned by Palace dangling a 3 year contract.

He's such a fraud.

He's not as good as he was and he's picking up injures that are probably only going to become worse.

Maybe we've found a few additional birth certificates for him and we're going to pass him off as being in his 20's.

His contract runs for 2 years with an option of a third. He should be getting phased out, not having a contract extension. He's 34 years old and we should be replacing him now.
