I'd love to see Keegan back as a director of football, not the bollocks that is todays director of football but a proper director. Somebody who reports to the chairman and plans what happens on the field, not "do we buy X Y or Z" but somebody who goes to the manager and says this is what we want to do this season then the manager says "right, I want player XY and Z" then Keegan goes to the chairman and says I want this amount of money and then he goes out and gets who the manager wants. I'd also like to see a proper board of directors who are responsible for the different areas of the club, football, finances, commerce, communications etc.

I'll take him, add Samuel Eto'o who has only had good things to say about us, we can dream.

The best I've seen was Gazza away to Southampton, he was a kid yet he ran the game, most comments were comparing him to Maradonna, he looked brilliant. Macdonald was a good one, getting carried off from the Leazes just made him a bigger hero. Keegans was good because of the build up, I was almost crushed in the corner of the Gallowgate, my feet were off the ground all game. Three great debuts, Beardsley also looked good the first time.

Closer to his birth place so you might be right, I bet he had to fight his way home from school in Cumbria.
