    Steve McClaren

Today he said something along the lines of the board would be evaluating the current squad because they knew more about them than him.
  2. They must be desperate, I packed mine in a year ago and I've started to get e-mails asking me to renew, it's not going to happen.

    Lee Charnley

    That doesn't make Neesy wrong.
  4. I hope and think we'll keep Krul, he's a good keeper who has gone stale at the club and I would rather we didn't have to play an untried Darlow or Blob Elliot. I hope that McClaren can give a few of our underperforming players a lift although I do have my doubts.
  5. They're right, if idiots keep buying tickets they are supporting the regime and making the club what it is, shite.
  6. That usually happens when you play for a shit manager and aren't motivated.
  7. Ask Charnley how many of our re-structured board of directors would get a similar job at another premier league club. If he comes back with a number, laugh.
  8. I think asking questions they want to answer is slightly pointless and they'll love it.
  9. Ask them why they squandered 2 opportunities to appoint a manager on merit within the last half of the season.
  10. I think he'a got loads of potential and we might see him come good if he's handled right and given games. If McClaren is any good then this is one of the players who should benefit from a run of games where he can learn to relax without being blamed for what others do or don't do.

Better late than never from him.
  12. Technically he didn't save us from relegation as we didn't need to win our last game because of the Hull result. Having said that, Hull will have known our score so really had nothing to play for and I'm sure that would have been different if we weren't winning.

Bobby snubbed us while at Barcelona, one of the top clubs in world football. McClaren snubbed us while at Championship club Derby, maybe it's unfair as he did have an association with the club before managing them.

I wouldn't have given him the chance of taking the job after he's turned us down twice and failed again at another club. On giving him a change, I've got no option now that he has the job and I hope he does well.

He doesn't deserve anything, all he's done so far is waffle on. He's saying the right things today which is good but nothing that anybody else in his position wouldn't be doing.

Most people I knew were glad to see the back of him as a player when he pissed off to the mackems.

I wish people would stop saying the bollocks in bold. Why does Steve McClaren deserve a chance at managing a club he has no association with in a town he has no association with? He's either been sacked or walked away from his last 5 jobs which he was failing at and he's turned the job down twice when in less than 6 months when it suited him to do so. Really, he shouldn't be anywhere near the club and he definitely does not deserve the job, far from it.

He came across really well on the radio tonight.
  19. If anybody thinks this is to improve things they're mad. It's an exercise in damage limitation for Ashley and nothing else. If things go wrong he has targets all lined up so that he can deflect the blame onto others. If McClaren complains about the squad he'll be reminded about his part in it. Ashley will set the rules and his board will work to them. It looks like another reaction to Ashleyout.com.

Dreaming of Pardew, that is a shit hand to be dealt.

Ronaldo beats him to an inch of his life then wakes up. Poor form, Yorkie. What was your Pardew dream again? I remember cracking the f*** up. I had a dream/nightmare last night that I was managing a kids' football team and Alan Pardew was managing the opposition. We just had markers for goalposts and their goalkeeper kept on moving the markers so their goal was smaller and therefore it'd be more difficult to score, I confronted Pardew and he said "I don't care mate, the press aren't going to report this, it's a bladdy kids' game" and I went "Well that's just you all over, isn't it, you c***". He just smiled. He was a right prick like, was fuming. Sad bastard.

I don't think we'll actively avoid doing well in the cups so that has to be progress.

I'm not optimistic but do hope he does well, we all win if he does. I have low expectations of him and don't think his appointment signals a change but actions are all that matters anyway. The football has to get better, it simply has to but once that wears off I think he'll be fairly mundane.

Give him a chance means forget about his past, pretend it didn't happen.
