I'm talking about the player that he currently is, the one who falls over if the wind changes direction. As for the defensive shift he puts in, I don't care about a forward putting in a defensive shift. I care about what a forward does when trying to get at the opposition and he makes the wrong decision far too often and I don't know if he's capable of getting past that or if we're capable of coaching it out of him. A forward doing work at the back is a bonus for me and one that comes after his work at the front.

Sammy will need a lot of work putting in to him if he's ever going to become a player we can regularly rely on. He's got the ability to do good stuff but I don't think he has the footballing intelligence to bring everything together and like has been said, our coaching staff are unlikely to help him out in that department. If he's going to come good, he's going to have to do it on his own.

We've done well with getting around our recent injuries, where we fell short yesterday was his thinking that he's better than he is and dropping Cabella for Gouffran who offered nothing. Cabella may have offered nothing if he'd played but I would have expected him to have at least given West Ham something to think about at the back, unlike Gouffran.

What if we qualified for the Europa and Rangers qualified for the CL and were dropped into the Europa? I doubt we could both qualify for even different competitions without a potential conflict of interest. Only one club could take part in a UEFA tournament and the higher profile tournament would take precedence. So if Rangers qualified for the Champions League and we qualified for the Europa League, then Rangers would be allowed to play in the Champions League and we would not be allowed in the Europa League. Therefore if Rangers later dropped into the Europa, it would not be a problem because we would not have been allowed entry in the first place. If we both qualify for the Europa League, then the club with the higher co-efficient would be the club allowed in. At present that would be us because our co-efficient is higher but one would assume once Rangers get back into the Champions League, their co-efficient would soon overtake ours. Where's that from?

It's still a pisstake and is a clear conflict of interest and should not be allowed Spot on, clubs should be run with the aim of being the best in every competition, at least one of us or Rangers can't be.
