Not being very good is another reason, I thought he was fairly good against Huddersfield and he normally makes my eyes bleed watching him so he has it in him to put in a good performance.
-
We need to win this to put to bed any idea that we've got a problem playing at home. The crowd need to be as good as they were in the second half against Bristol because we did lift the players.

If we maintain our home form we'll be on 89 points without taking another point away from home, we'll be OK without lifting our points total. -
And we dropped the points against the right opposition.
-
If you want to relive that 90 minutes again you can watch it from tomorrow afternoon on the club website. Somehow, I think I'll give it a miss.

7 points from 3 tough away games, I'll take that.

Hopefully he'll pick up a yellow card.

He is, a minor injury.

You seem to know what you're talking about.

The 730BC cup final? Looked a great day out that, Mick was there iirc, he'll tell you all about it. I missed that one, I was still waiting for my lift which hadn't been invented at that time.

It was 3-1.

I don't think Rafa is as defensive as some people think, it might not show up on TV but he spends more time encouraging us to go forward that backward. I think he likes us to keep our shape no matter which direction we're going in but he's not negative.
-
Only Rafa could have got the timing that perfect.

I'd like to see Huddersfield go up if we do because I think they would struggle. One less team to worry about. -

Aye, was reliving the story of the geordie invasion of Leeds Road to my daughter during last nights game. Geordies up the floodlight pylons and everything. And that city game when we all expected a hard game. The 5-1 at home to Carlisle when we saved a pen at one end, turned around and scored up the other end immediately. Fantastic. I'm sure it was Beardsley who scored against Carlisle, I seem to remember him challenging for the ball, he dived in and scooped the ball out like only he could do. He ran towards their goal and scored a blinder. At Huddersfield we had people in all 4 sides of the ground. I was behind the goal where most of us were and we officially had part of the side opposite the main stand and right next to where the home end was supposed to be. I was on the pitch when the whistle blew and ended up in the main stand almost at the opposite end of the ground. It was a mental day. -
We can do all 3, Yedlin for Anita, Perez for Diame and Gouffran for Atsu on the left with Ritchie going back to the right. why do you want Atsu off? Because he looked as if he was wrecked towards the end of the Huddersfield game . If he's recovered OK then I'd start him .
-
From .com However, that didn't excuse the PA Announcer (Paul Ramsden?) making veiled threats to East at half-time and getting players to say that Ritchie had dived for the penalty. Outrageous. Would any other HTFC staff be allowed to make such public utterances?

If I had to choose to lose one of the away games it would have been this one as Reading are no danger to us, I still think we'll win it and could win it comfortably. Get the next 2 games out of the way and then we'll have some respite going into April.

Reading didn't play last mid-week so we might have to make a few changed to give us fresh legs. Anita and Atsu were both looking wrecked and they would look to be the ones to swap out. We'll no doubt monitor how the players are on Monday so we should be able to get the team selection right.
-
We defended and scored 3 goals, that's about it.

Couldn't read the temperature gauge as his eyes are too close together and squinty due to convict genes.

The step up will be massive for us, even if we spend a shit load of money we'll need time for players to settle in. I think we'll spend decent money and bring a few players in and it will take another 12 months before we can kick on. We'll need to get up and gain some stability in the Premiership and that will take time.

I thought he was immense today in doing what he did. It wasn't his usual game but it was one that he performed brilliantly and he was always trying to break up their play. It was good to see him doing the dirty part of the game and getting stuck in and for most of the time maintaining his discipline.

I thought both penalties were soft, I thought the lad who went down for theirs had his right arm across Shelvey trying to block him and that was what caused the coming together.
