It's not tactics, are you saying Ritchie was allowed to get forwards but nobody else was? He was screaming at Dummett to get up behind him to defend further up the pitch and he was getting at Colback to start marking people rather than fresh air. He also had a go at Shelvey at one point when he played a ridiculous pass out for a goal kick.
-
It does, we could hardly get the ball and gave it away when we did. They always had players in space and always had on outlet in good areas, our movement was terrible.
-
We've also scored 2 of the quickest goals in the division this year, I think today was down to far too many players(all of them) playing poorly rather than negative tactics.
-
It was said he'd be out for 4 weeks on 17th Feb so he should be back within the next couple of weeks, I don't know if that's back playing or back in training.
-
We played shite today, we couldn't string more than a couple of passes together and we weren't chasing the ball down and were second to everything, I find it unbelievable that we would learn that on the training pitch.
-
I thought that he was poor for all 3 goals, the first one was from miles out and it's poor to be beaten from that distance. I'm not sure how good his view was for the 2nd as we had a few players in front of him, one of which was Dummett who was as weak as piss for the clearance. He seemed to throw a foot out to block the incoming shot and missed it and Darlow was quite weak and he seemed to dive after the ball has past him.
-
I'm sure it was Dummett but he's a good defender you know.
-
He was awful for the first goal which came right in front of where I sit. The lad lined a shot up and Colback was bang in the middle of our goal and he actually jogged away from a position where he could have blocked the shot or ran towards the goal scorer in an attempt to close him down and put him off.
-
He'll be much better in the next game or two once Colback is out of the team. Hayden had his operation in the middle of February and was due to be out for 4 weeks, 4 weeks is the day before our next match.
-
I doubt Rafa told the players to stand off and not to bother even putting in the slightest effort, I doubt Rafa told the players that they shouldn't bother to pass to our own players and I doubt he told them to constantly hit the ball long for Gayle. I hope he was smashing their heads off the changing room walls, they deserved it.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League
Mick replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
April will be a massive month, our performance today had nothing to do with us saving ourselves for that, we really were as bad as people are saying. We just sat back and let them do anything they wanted to do with the ball. Everything about today was poor and I do wonder if the 3 away games have taken something out of us, we'll see. -
As was every other player in the starting line up, the only one who looked interested was Atsu.
-
Ritchie spent most of the game having a go at Colback, his positioning was shocking and he hid for most of the game but he wasn't the only one who was poor. Lascelles was an abomination throughout, Anita was nowhere near the players he was defending against. Diame had a shitter, Gayle couldn't get on the end of the constant long balls, Shelvey was terrible in just about everything he did, Dummett had an absolute shitter.
-
I'm not sure they were counter attacking, they controlled the game from the first whistle.
-
He put in the worst performance that I can remember from him, he wasn't helped by team mates either who kept no shape.
-
It was worse than shite, shite would have been an improvement.
-
That was a terrible performance from the beginning until the end. Fulham created space for each other from kick off and we never got close to them, we should be embarrassed put that performance in. They pissed all over us throughout the game and we got what we deserved, nothing.
-
It's great to have so much positivity around our manager again, the single most important person at the club.
-
I can't see anything other than a home win, we'll not take these lightly and we'll win because of that.
-
Rafa is doing nothing in those interviews that he didn't do at the end of last season, he has all of the leverage and he's using it. Rafa has all of the good cards and he's playing them like the pro that he is.
-
I wouldn't mind that, it's hopefully up to Rafa who goes and who stays and I trust him while knowing that even he will probably make mistakes.
-
Good. It's often a curse. Agreed, give it to Hughton next and we're up.
-
I'm not concerned by that at all, we're partly where we are in the league because of him, he's contributed to our season and done a job. He wouldn't be my first choice in any position but he rarely let's us down when picked.
