  1. He's been all over the place and driven us forward whenever he's had the ball and put in a fantastic performance so far.

    Alan Pardew

    I hate this BASTARD
  3. Were you watching where Perch stood for one of the Reading goals?
  4. Pardew thought taking Marveaux off last week was a good idea after watching the players all week and all game, what he can see is irrelevant.
  5. I can't think of any other Newcastle manager who would have our current players going to Villa who are rock bottom and would pick the team Pardew has put out tonight.
  6. He can't afford to, he has far too much at stake.
  7. If we get the team right tonight I can see us winning by 3 clear goals, if not more, just go for it.
  8. I would guess that I've forgotten more about leadership than you've ever known.
  9. I have no doubt that he could be a very important player for us. I actually think Debuchy, Sissoko and Yanga-Mbiwa will all do well. I'm not sure how Haidara will do and I think Gouffran needs to get off to a good start.
  10. He'll do well to do better than I think Sissoko will do, you're right though, he should start tomorrow.

    Alan Pardew

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/ive-got-new-players-the-rest-is-now-down-to-me-says-newcastle-uniteds-alan-pardew-8470669.html It always was down to him, even if he now tries to convince people otherwise. If Ashley did know what was wrong against Reading then Pardew will not be here long if results don't change for the better because the game changed when Marveaux went off even if he tries to claim it changed when Cabaye went off.
  12. I've imagined that we were on about Coloccini and you've just mentioned a lack of leadership on the pitch, or in your own words, a void.
  13. A lack of leadership on the pitch is not and never has been down to one person.
  14. I'll reserve judgement with regards to him wanting to leave. I don’t know why he wanted to go, if it was because we weren’t doing well then I’ll probably change my mind, I’ll not change it based on rumours based on nothing but tittle tattle.
  15. I've seen him doing plenty of talking to others around him and nobody puts in more effort during a game than he normally does.
  16. A poor captain could have a negative effect if he was disruptive, I probably over simplified what I said. I still don’t think being a captain these days is much other than being a figurehead. Every player on the pitch should be talking to each other, one person can only do so much. I've seen nothing to make me think that Coloccini is anything but a good captain other than his current personal problems which don't seem to be doing anything to his game.
  17. Anybody on the pitch can help organise, talk to other players etc. The captain is no different from any other player once a game kicks off except that he can talk to the ref to argue our case if he doesn't agree with a decision. Coloccini does talk to our players during the game to give them a gee up, he doesn’t go screaming like an idiot, he just talks to them and none of our players are better than him at leading by example during the game. Up until now he’s been our best defender and he’s popped up all over the pitch in an attempt to drive us forward.
  18. Nice try at shifting some of Pardew’s failings onto Coloccini. The job of a captain these days is mainly symbolic as no team should have to rely on one player for anything once the game kicks off.
  19. It wasn't surprising at all because we're nothing like the mackems. We had Alan Brown on loan from the mackems and he had no bother at all, I think he played 5 and scored 3 before we sent him back. We also signed Jeff Clarke who ended up playing more than 100 games for us, and we signed Venison who had played for them before going to Liverpool. Newcastle fans have never had a problem with players who have played for Sunderland because we're not petty, they are the only ones who can't get over it.
  20. I think he's been an excellent captain and I think he'll not change that while he plays for us.
