I don't understand why we stick the away fans in the corner of the East Stand and leave so much segregation when we could stick them in level 7 and keep the lower tier for home fans without having rows of empty seats. The club might have to do that if we get close to 36,000.

I'm not trying to make out that he's brilliant going forward, he's just not as bad as some make out, the same goes for his defending. I thought that we looked as well balanced tonight as we have at any time this season and Simpson was a part of that. I could also see a little understanding building up between Anita and Simpson as the match went on.

Simpson played some good football in the 2nd half and linked up really well with Anita. We played a lot of nagative football at times as a team but we were cruising at 3-0. We had the game won and we were controlling the game and it was exactly the right thing to do and I really enjoyed being able to relax.

Our first shot today was bang on a minute after the start, some people think Bordeaux were poor, I though that we made them look that way because we played really well.

The only negative for me was the empty seats, 31,000 is poor.

Pardew got it spot on tonight, late on in the game Cisse was starting to slowly head towards our goal as he was looking for the ball with 3 defenders around him, Pardew was screaming at him and telling to get further forward. He did and 3 defenders went with him and they even dropped a couple of midfielders between the defenders and our midfield which meant they were less of a threat going forward because they didn't have the numbers.

He's not up to defending, he's more than good enough to play on the wing.

Tiote makes a massive difference to the way Cabaye plays.

I disagree that Anita didn't play well, some of his close range passing was very good. I thought his second half performance was his best for us so far.
