  1. Perch backs off more than Danny Simpson does when playing right back, his positional sense isn't very good and he drops inside too much.
  2. I agree about it being an interesting pairing and can't remember them playing together.
  3. Probably because he left when doing well with them.
  4. Our defence today should be Anita right back, Taylor right centre, Perch left centre and Santon at left back. Taylor naturally plays right of centre but has to move to allow Williamson to play where he prefers and Perch would force that move, it's crazy but at least we'll have Williamson for that shit free kick, watch him now score when I've said that. Other than that, Obertan keeping Marveaux off the bench doesn't make any sense at all.
  5. I haven't seen anything of Reading, with a bit of luck they'll have no pace up front to ghost past Williamson.
  6. He plays well in that position, Perch isn't a right back from what I've seen of him but that's where he's playing, again.
  7. Anita looks to be our best right back and should be playing in the position.
  8. He left so he must have been playing crap, even if it didn't look that way.
  9. He does seem a little thick, I'll also give him a bit of slack for sticking with us when we went down and helping us to get where we are now.
  10. We should try to loan him out to Boro, train with us and play for them.
  11. I prefer players to leave the way he did as he just got on with playing for us and didn't spit his dummy out. I can understand why he didn't want to say that he was leaving because he would have got stick from some for doing so. Talking the club down after he'd left is another thing but not the end of the world.
  12. I doubt he's dropped down the pecking order because they have more confidence in him making it.

    I've read worse from neesy.
  14. You shouldn't take one performance in isolation though, he was poor against Atromitos away. He's a kid learning his trade and he needs looking after. He's probably 12 months away from being considered a first team starter in the league.

If only we could see the positives which come from the negatives.

It's crazy and it's as if anything negative said about the club is a personal insult.

The goals scored last season by Best gained us 7 points, the goals scored by Shola gained us 1 and I wasn't a fan of Best but I think his movement pisses all over the movement of Shola. What were the better results where Shola was present when Best wasn't?

This must have happened in parallel universe because it didn't happen in this one.

Our forward line is weaker, we're 1 injury up front from playing forwards who will have a better than a goal every two games record for us in the league to one with a record of less than a goal every 5 games.

Keep in mind that people were also concerned that we had no cover up front and our backup to Ba and Cisse is a statue.

We weren't that far ahead of Everton and that's why we should have done more to stay ahead of them. Most of us would have been pleased to emulate Everton, we did more than that and we should have done more to maintain what we achieved. Going backwards should be seen as unacceptable, it is in any other business and we're constantly told that football is a business.

Short term anything less than 5th is a failure, long term it could turn out to be a platform to work from and take us forwards.

If Everton finish above us it will be because we've allowed them to and part of that reason will be our lack of incoming transfers. If we drop 3 places in the league we'll lose about £3 million from the Premiership and we'll lose any income from Europe. I understand that we couldn't compete with Chelsea and I doubt anybody would expect us to.

What we spent during this summer has no bearing on where we finished last season and will be seen as a success/failure based on the results of this season. A season Llambias has targeted that we can drop 3 places and it would be seen by him as a success.
