    Alan Pardew

Until Pardew arrived Llambias had the worst record for managerial sackings, he's as thick as pig shit if he thinks people are going to fall for his propaganda. I bet Pardew has the same clause in his contract which limited the compensation Keegan received. In effect the contract length of 8 years will be meaningless.
  2. I've seen you play football and you honestly wouldn't bag any playing in that side.

    Alan Pardew

£0 and counting. I don't know how he has the balls to mention it and Bird has let him get away with it.
  4. I do feel sorry for Obertan, he seems to be a nice bloke.

    Shola Ameobi

His movement is really poor unless you can manage to drop the ball within 12" of his body or he's running on to a ball in space and heading towards goal. Against the mackems, he's motivated and a totally different player but we only play them twice a season.
  6. He hasn't been the same player since Ben Arfa put him on his arse at our place.
  7. Christ, they're suicidal already. I don't know why but the bold bit
  8. He can't be that worried, everybody though that the Ba clause was dead after the last window until Pardew mentioned it. I'm probably wrong but it does look like he's inviting bids for players at times.

    Dan Gosling

Gosling has already played more first team games for us than Vuckic, we're playing in Europe next week because Vuckic won a game for us with a goal, has Gosling ever won or even changed a game for us? I can't remember him doing so. Marveaux has had some games for us, even if they weren't this season, at least he's shown he's got something about him and could come good. He's still getting used to playing in England and he's still getting over a fairly serious injury and operation.
  10. If he can't get going against a former club then I think he really is a lost cause.

    Papiss Cissé

I must admit that I was worried when he scored and then hit the post with what looked to be his head or neck.
  12. It would be ideal if we could loan some of our fringe players out to local teams so they are still part of our setup and can train with us for at least part of the week.

    Dan Gosling

Nobody can say he doesn't try and I can't remember him trying to hide, even when things don't work out for him.

    Papiss Cissé

To think some people felt he should be dropped. I think his movement is worth having in the team even if he isn't scoring because the opposition can't rest as he's always capable of scoring.
  15. Sometimes you just have to put your hands up and say we got it wrong and I think we should do that with Obertan and give others the chances he's getting.
  16. The standards and pace isn't the same though.
  17. His loans have been excellent for him.
  18. Some players can be played too often while others can play more often, it depends on the players and the type of game they play. I wouldn't want to see Ben Arfa play every game because I think he'd lose his edge and would probably lose that sudden burst of pace which is almost instantaneous. A player like Jonas could play more games because his game is different and he doesn’t play in quick bursts and he seems to cover a lot of ground but is more steady which doesn’t seem as draining physically. Some players are like sprinters while others are like marathon runners.
  19. He had a good game again tonight and should be challenging for a first team spot in a years time if he keeps on learning. He’s a kid and will make mistakes and will hopefully learn from them and become a better player for it. I’ve seen him play for the reserves where he looked a prospect and he’s getting better all of the time.

    Dan Gosling

I haven't seen anything from him that makes me think he's suddenly going to become a decent player for us. He's got no tricks about him, he doesn't look strong in a challenge, he hasn't got a change of pace and doesn't seem able to carry the ball. I've kept quiet about him because of his injury but this is his third season here and he's yet to make me think he'll ever be capable of doing a good job for our first team. Even though he was injured for most of his first season, he's had over a season to show something and he hasn't. I would much rather have seen a player like Bigirimana start instead of him because at least he shows potential, Gosling doesn't. I can't remember us ever having dominated a midfield when Gosling has been part of it and the comments about him being like Nolan without the goals is a good one.
  21. It was Shola, he had the ball when we were attacking on our left and he played it inside to a Man U defender and they broke on us and scored.
  22. Grow up man, not everybody sees things the way you do, thankfully.
  23. That sums him up though because that's what he is, slow and incapable.
