I remembered you having strong views on him. I don't see the good job that Pardew is doing, he's starting to look like a one dimensional manager who is looking out of his depth. Our results have been better than expected but our quality of football has been poor except for a few games, we've played more bad than good and a lot of games where we've come out of them with more than we have deserved. He's been lucky and he's lived off that, when things aren't going our way he's got no answer to what is going wrong.

I hope he starts today, even though I have my doubts that Pardew will play him, he's the best we have on the right. I can't understand why anybody would think that we'll be a better team with either Taylor or Obertan playing because we'll not be. Ben Arfa offers something different to what our other players have to offer and he would be a massive asset if played regularly and fully fit. Our two other options make us poorer even if we’ve had good results with both. I can't remember too many occasions when a team has been better when they don't field the best players available. It sometimes happens when certain players are too similar and can’t gel, England being a good case when Lampard and Gerard have played but the two situations are not the same. Another type of game which would justify playing lesser players are games when the opposition aren’t seen as being as good and players think they can just turn out and win. Normally, teams do better when they field their better players regularly and that’s what we should be doing today, not pissing about with Obertan and Taylor.

If a player in the Premiership fears Ryan Taylor then he shouldn't be playing.

I agree with every word in your post. I look forward to going to see flair players and the thought of having to watch Ryan Taylor is mind numbing. At least when he's covering for an injury you can justify him getting a game, in this instance you can't.
