Jonas and Ryan Taylor do have an understanding, Taylor can't defend so Jonas has to cover his arse.
-
And yet we scored no more goals in the second half than we did in the first.
-
And he's never played well against the better teams then had a shitter.
-
So we have 2 injuries and change the whole back 4, why?
-
I'm expecting a no show from Shola and a defeat, that means we'll probably win.
-
Do I still not like who?

I don't really want to de-rail this thread, I just mentioned Taylor in here because I think him being in the team is a bit of a joke. As for how well the defence played, I think in was in spite of him rather than because of him and I would rather the manager was pro-active than reactive. After all, I think most people predicted how it would go over the last three games with him in the team. As for his goals scored, Cabaye has shown against Blackburn that he can hit a free kick so nobody can say that we wouldn't have had goals without Taylor taking them. Taylor is almost a goal every 15 premier league games for us, his goals are welcome but let’s not make them out to be more regular than they are. As for Pardew, his man management seems to be his strong point and he's getting the best out of most of our players. Let's see how he does over the coming months when he hasn't got his best players to pick from.

The Mirror are claiming Villa are after him.
-
He's played well once and that was against Stoke, other than that he's relied on having Jonas covering him out wide and Coloccini coming over to help him out. He regularly gets taken out when the winger takes him on, it has become more obvious recently because he's been sussed and it will happen more often now that it's been worked out and seen by everybody on TV. As for the left back we failed to sign, we knew we were losing a left back and went out and signed a defender who can play at left back and we gave him the number 3 shirt. I can only guess that we strengthened a position we knew we was going to be massively weakened rather than leaving that side and upgrading a player who would have been the best full back at the club at that time.

does that mean every kid who comes through the system should be given some games ? don't we employ people to attempt to root out those that'll make it from those that won't ? No, it doesn't mean every kid should should get games, if they show promise then they should be given a chance though. I've seen nothing of Kadar to suggest that he couldn't make it other than injuries.
-
One year on, Ryan Taylor is getting games at left back.
-
Who Davies? Alan, he played for us in the mid eighties and took his own life aged 30.

I'm not sure what your post has to do with what I posted, as far as I'm aware Kadar and Lua Lua didn't let us down when played. I have no reason to believe that they would have let us down if they played in the games which they didn't. As for Hughton conducting the promotion campaign immaculately, that’s your opinion and I disagree for the reasons mentioned, I would have also played Vuckic more often when fit.
-
I don't think any of those did anything that players who we had couldn't have done.
-
How can you prove if you're good enough or not without getting games? Has Kadar let either himself or us down when played? You seem to think lack of games means a player isn’t good enough yet Kadar has done nothing wrong when played and I don’t remember Lua Lua doing too much wrong either when played.
-
I can't remember him getting lots of assists although he may have done. I just remember him not being very effective on the wing.
-
I don't think any of the players who came in on loan were better than what we had. We even played Guthrie regularly on the wing instead of Lua Lua until we brought Routledge in.
-
I was just about to bite, saw Pat Herd and thought Pat Howard for some reason.
-
My biggest problem with Hughton was his lack of balls when we were in the Championship and brought in players like Fitz Hall and Zurab whatever he was called when we had players who could have done a job for us already on our books. Has Kadar ever let us down whenever he's played? I remember one game when he wasn't too clever but I can't remember who it was against, kids will have off days and that's why they need games to develop. Look what happened with Carroll in a 12 month period, that wouldn’t have happened if we hadn’t played him and I didn’t see anything in him to suggest he’d become a £35 million player before Christmas in the Championship. I wouldn't have any problem playing Kadar next to Coloccini in the coming weeks, I'd go as far as saying that he's probably our best option if he's fit, at least until Williamson is ready to start.
-
I've seen quite a bit of him for the reserves and he has something about him. He's a bit like Coloccini and Enrique in as much as he would rather bring the ball out of defence than just hoof it and he's quite assured for somebody with little experience. I don’t know if he can make the step up but the only way to find that one out is by giving him games. His fitness has probably been the main reason for his lack of games as he doesn’t seem to go too long before his next injury which is a pity.
-
Coloccini wasn't even as bad in his first season as some people still make out.
-
Van Aanholt wasn't Alex and the gap wasn't as big.
-
He was our player and capable of playing at that level, we gave another team’s player experience at the expense of one of our own.
-
Van Aanholt in the Championship for a start, they did play some games in the same team but not many.
