I agree about Marveaux, didn't he play for 120 minutes in the cup? He must be capable of 90 minutes in the league.
-
I'm not defending Nolan, I just don't think he'd have been as much of a handicap tonight as some were. As for Krul, I think he made one save which was as much down to poor attacking by them than anything else.
-
If he changes 3 players then it's no longer a problem that they were playing badly.
-
We could have tried to stop them from getting so much of the ball and we had 2 passengers for most of the game which is always a bit of a handicap.
-
I'd replace Ryan Taylor with Santon, Shola with Ba and Obertan with Marveaux.
-
They had more than enough chances to win tonight, our midfield didn't get us the draw, our defenders did and Nolan would have made no difference to that. Simpson and Taylor both saved us on the line, without either we would have lost.
-
The manager can change players if they are playing poorly, you don't need football manager of FIFA to do that.
-
Jesus wept, we don't expect to play well all season, we expect we'll play better than we have so far. If we don't then we'll be in trouble. People mention that QPR have brought new players in but so have we and I would like to think we've brought in better than they have. Whether that's the case, only time will tell and we'll never know until we play them. Our movement was crap today and we did too little too late to sort that out.
-
He picked the wrong team, he was part of the problem. Ryan Taylor and Shola shouldn't have come out for the 2nd half as they were both as bad as they can get.
-
We've been lucky in all of our matches and it's game 5 of the season and we haven't controlled a game yet. We're 4th like you say but any on the results so far could have gone another way and that luck will not last forever. We can't keep playing shit and expect to keep picking up points. We'll come up against a good team in form and we'll get turned over unless we do something different.
-
We would have lost this one if we hadn't cleared off the line twice or if that were capable of scoring goals. They haven't got one goal in 4 games for nothing.
-
You can, and you should. What more could we have done in these last four games like? Win them all? He could pick our best players in each position and he could do something about us hoofing the ball up every time we get it.
-
When are we going to see the new style of football we've been told to expect?
-
Worse than Shola but better than Carroll.
-
You must have the memory of a goldfish.
-
The club will struggle to sack him as we have history of a player being jailed and retained.

Newcastle-Online » NUFC » Football (Moderators: Optimistic Nut, Nate) » Topic: Forum Service Issues and Updates Why does clicking on Newcastle-Online and NUFC take you to the same place? I keep clicking on NUFC to go to the football. Should NUFC and football not be the other way around?

Christ, it's fast when moving around the forum.

I've edited my post, I'm getting both depending on where I am on the forum. When posting in this thread I get http://46.105.126.209/nufcforum/index.php/topic,73457.msg3209899.html#quickreply

I'm on Virgin and I'm seeing http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php apart from a window I've had open for hours. Maybe people just need to close the browser window and open it up again. Edit. Wrong again, I'm getting both depending on where I am on the forum.

The last set of published accounts had a note saying that part of the loan from Ashley was secured against future broadcasting income and that £12.3 million was repayable August 2010 and £16.5 million was repayable after more than one year. The remaining (unsecured) balance of £111 million is repayable on demand. Note 15 says that that the loan of £16.5 million is repayable no earlier than August 2011. My guess is that at least some of the Sky TV money has gone to Ashley.

I can log in and everything is normal until I go into a thread I'm logged out. It seems to happen on my laptop but not my phone which uses the same wifi connection. When I try to log in on my laptop the forum doesn't recognise my password. Edit. Forget that, the laptop is working OK now. It looks like it's just a matter of time until it sorts itself out and recognises your usual password.

A lot will depend on how he comes back from the broken leg. I'm not suggesting he was ever anywhere near as good as Ben Arfa, but Carlos Edwards was superb for us in the Championship, broke his leg and was never the same ever again. Ok, he had stepped up a level, but te looked s*** scared to run at players or go near a tackle afterwards. Cisse on other hand lost no pace whatsoever after two broken legs. f*** me, he was rapid. I recall ca game vs Boro when he was running down the wing and he just kept kicking it ahead of himself and accellerating more and more as the smogs made pathetic attempts to keep up, before just falling away. Ben Arfa will be fine mentally and physically when he comes back as he's had a massive tackle on the leg he'd broken and it stood up to the impact apart from being badly twisted.

The Fulham fans would have been wrecked by the time they had reached any of our fans.

He's lost almost two hands full, he's won one more than he's lost.
