That was a fantastic win and nobody let us down today, we really do have the makings of a good team if we can carry on like this and build on it in the summer.
-
And it didn’t help his cause that he was goalless for more than the last half of the season before.
-
Ranger needs games as much as he needs games. If he's putting more effort in during training because he's been asked to do that then he needs to be rewarded with games.
-
Lovenkrands and Best starting again.
-
So because something hasn't been reported then it didn't happen, OK.
-
My guess is that without Ashley we would have gone into admin, lost a few players, got relegated and possibly came back up. The problem is that in reality we've done all of that anyway except that in admin we'd have had our debt written off.

Morale seems to be much better and I will give some of the credit for that to Nolan, Smith seems to have also helped and I don't want to see him playing. The most positive person on the pitch against Arsenal was Barton, I'd much rather see him as captain now that he seems to have pulled his game together and learned some self-control.
-
I wouldn't question what Nolan brings to the dressing room other than his advice to Carroll which went against his position as captain.
-
I'm not sure how looking back at Michael Owen answers it as he was just as ineffective in the end.
-
Why when everybody is supporting him?
-
We don't know what bids we've had in the past as they're usually kept out of the press.
-
Nolan rarely plays any part in goals that he doesn't score, the game often passes him by.
-
What does Nolan do as captain? What do we miss when he's not playing?
-
I make it 7, we haven't exactly been in free-fall since his last game thought.

£10-£12 million would be too low as any player coming in could prove to be a lesser player, quite a few players fail to settle into clubs and an Enrique replacement is no different. He's the best left-back that I've seen at the club so replacing him to his standard is likely to cost more, if it's possible.
-
If you take away the goals he's scored we would be 3 points worse off. If he hadn't scored some of his other goals then the results might not have finished the way that they did but it's impossible to try to come up with any sort of worth for his goals. I didn't include him giving balls away that resulted in goals against either so it goes both ways. I agree it’s a simplistic way to look at it but I think it reflects his worth to us. People go on about how important it is for us to have him playing because he's a good captain, they forget that he's played during some of our worst displays and results, he's over-rated and in a lot of games he’s a handicap.
-
I agree that quality comes before how much we spend, I'll be greedy and want the lot spent on the type of player you mention. I think we've hit a bit of a jackpot once we get through this season. To fritter it away would be crazy and I hope we take advantage of the situation rather than squander the unexpected opportunity. We have money that couldn't have been budgeted for and we should use it.

Ashley stopped us heading the same way as two teams who were in the same league as us, how does that work?
-
The credit getting withdrawn was down to the change in ownership and was always going to happen when the club was sold. Because they were paid off in full and we had to pay the full interest that would have been paid if the debt went full term.
-
The same as Lovenkrands, none.
-
We were in the same division as two of those last season and below one of them.

Nobody is asking for large funds of fresh investment, we're asking to re-invest what has come in from the Carroll transfer at a time when Llambias has been saying we're close to breaking even.
