I don't know if it’s been edited but its close.

Ranger is probably playing on the wing as he's unlikely to get a game in the middle ahead of Shola or Lovenkrands, the senior players.
-
He should have been played on the wing last season when we were wasting Guthrie in that position.

I almost took the bait.

I've got no worries at all about him coming back just as strong. He may not have the mental strength of Shearer, not that we know that he hasn't. What he has got is determination, he has shown that in the way that he went about getting his move here. I don't think he's the type to sit back and wait for something to happen. He’s broken his leg, the good thing is that nothing has been reported about ligament or tissue damage so it should be a straight forward recovery once the bones have healed. I've had a few broken bones and you soon forget about them once you get about your normal daily activities. I think we'll worry about his leg more than he does once he's plying again, he might think about it the first time he does things then that'll be the end of it.

The shin bone is the Tibia, it's the bone at the front of your leg and the one you bang when you walk into something. The dislocation that Eduardo suffered and the damage caused by it made his injury a lot worse than just a broken bone or bones.
-
Eduardo had a much worse break than Ben Arfa, Eduardo broke his shin, fibula and ankle, his foot was almost hanging off as the bones had cut through his skin. I'm sure the break was so bad that Eduardos leg had a 90 degree bend in it where it shouldn't have had one, his ankle was also dislocated.

That doesn't count for some reason, and it would appear that Lovenkrands having a goal every three games and Shola having a goal every four games rather than one in nine doesn't count.

I'm not sure Xisco has proven he's a better footballer than the rest while he's been here.

I thought the same but I would think it was Kompany and not De Jong.
-
I knew De Jong was 34 and thought Kompany was also in the 30's, you're right though, Kompany is 4.
-
I don't think so, I was sent it but and I'm not 100% sure that it's De Jong.

De Jongs looks gutted he'd broken Ben Arfas leg. http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/919/lescottf.jpg

Reuters are carrying the story, I see no reason why the FA can't go back to FIFA and just see what happens, unless they think the tackle was justified.
-
To be fair to the FA, they tried doing Essien for a hard tackle the ref had incorrectly down in his report as a fair tackle, and FIFA threatened them with all sorts of sanctions. Sadly the FA are tied down by FIFA who have no sense. If Newcastle want some justice, they will have to take the legal route. That was almost 5 years ago that FIFA wouldn't allow the FA to take action, I think they might think again after what De Jong had done recently. It wouldn't hurt the FA if they referred this to FIFA to test the water. As has been mnetioned, FIFA didn't stop the FA when they charged Ben Thatcher after only originally being shown a yellow card. I'm sure that the Thatcher ban came after the Essien tackle.
-
It looks like the FA are doing nothing about De Jong.

You should get a pair of artificial legs and send them to Nolan.

Sunday is proof that you don't always get what you deserve in football and on that basis I'd still take 17th. That doesn't mean I don't think we're better and will still have a go at players if they are shit.
-
I would be surprised if anybody thought and different. I'm sure if Marseille tried to get him back we'd see another saga like we did in the in the summer. He'll be here next season as long as we stay up and he doesn't have any further problems with the leg break. That still doesn't make up for what we will have missed out on for most of this season but as least we will still see the best of him. The silver lining might be that others who may have shown an interest next summer might just be put off by this injury.

The worst thing about that list is seeing the number of players who are either too close to, or ahead of Ferguson, it just doesn't seem right.

According to that we don't know when Guthrie will be back, he played yesterday for the reserves.
