Before Sunday it was Diame v Brighton. Sunday will take some beating, I don't know if you had to be there to appreciate it but it was an immense day. I doubt it could have been scripted better and for me it summed up the rollercoaster that our club is. I don't think I'll ever forget how it went and don't know if I'll go through that again. I wasn't even that bothered about winning the league until the rumours started as promotion was all that mattered to me until then.

I hope you heard that right.

I think he was being mentioned as a replacement for Houllier in 2011 and some of them didn't want him, they ended up with Alex McLeish instead.

Rafa loves football and that's why he's a success, he never seems to tire of the game. He works his bollocks off because it's what gives him a buzz and we have to keep him, he's almost irreplaceable for us. You would think that a manager who has won the Champions League would piss in the trophy that we won yesterday but Rafa loved it. He didn't seem to take that winners medal off for hours after the game, he doesn't seem to care what he wins, he just wants to win.

I hope to Christ we do upgrade Yedlin. He's decent going forward but his defending is way below Premiership standard. He'll get eaten alive. Of all the players we need to upgrade you single out Yedlin.

Today has definitely been one to remember, people thinking Villa had scored and the celebrations began and lasted less than 5 minutes only to find out that they hadn't. Some good goals and good football. Brighton scoring and Villa going down to 10 men and it looked like we'd be finishing 2nd. Us winning and hearing that Villa had equalised late on in the game and then the wait for their game to finish. All of this with people trying to find out what had actually happened and the crowd and players were starting to find out that we were Champions. A few seconds later it was announced over the tannoy and the players and fans were going wild.
