Playing Nicky Butt is a terrible decision.

Marcelino, he was injured for over two months with a broken finger amongst other injuries and only played about 20 games in 3 1/2 years. Bobby tried everything to get him to play and we had to buy out his contract in the end. I hated him with a passion.

You're right about the Leazes going in 1978 so it looks like the photograph is between 1975 and 1978. I was looking at the scoreboard for help with the date but that doesn't help at all.

The photograph is later than 1971 or we wouldn't have had the East Stand which was finished in 1973. My guess is that it's between 1975 and 1980 but I couldn't do better than that, St James Hall was knocked down after 1975.
