I agree about the other two, I just think Beye has been the best of the lot. I'm pinching myself just thinking about talking about us having 3 good defenders. Roll on the summer and the possibility of us sorting the midfield and bringing them up to the level of those in front and behind them.

Beye looks calm and assured, he just looks like a top class defender, if all of the Allardyce signings were as good as him we'd have had a very good season. We give Allardyce stick for the way he (Allardyce) turned out but he's got to be given credit for Beye, he's come to a new country and fit straight in.

Beye has arguably been our player of the season and would have walked it if he'd played more games.

Agreed, he looks as if he does more work than he does in reality, sometimes the ball is within 5 metres of him and play just seems to pass him by.

The ones I remember most were away games and it was mainly the whole day, going to the pub at 6am so we could get pissed then getting the train down to Seaburn and walking down to the ground an hours before kick-off. Joker was a good day out apart from trying to get down the steps after the game, the mackems always came around to the away end after the game but always legged it.
