  1. Sacking of Allardyce was well within their rights. We sounded Keegan out before Redknapp, he was overwhelming fan favourite, so who gives a fuck whether you were not impressed. Wise is one of the better young managers in the game, so he must have something to offer, that KK clearly wants. and yes Ashley is a legend for wearing a toon top, thank you.
  2. Why automatically blame them? Keegan would have had a say, I'm sure. Not just had a say. I imagine its Keegans appointment. But no lets all jump on the "we hate our owners" bandwagon.
  3. As long as its KKs appointment i dont really mind. I highly doubt Mort would hire someone behind KKs back. Imagine KK, Shearer, Wise and Pearson. Those are some canny big personalities.
  4. You see i'd rather this, than us do a typical risk signing at the end of the window.
  5. Aye same side as Skirge. Although i'd be tempted to give Lua Lua a run out.
  6. Mellberg to Juve hasn't stalled. He isn't going anywhere until we get a right back. It is bad enough having a CB playing at RB, but to then sell him and rely on a 20 year old midfielder to do it would be madness. I reckon its more likely that he will join Juve in the summer now.
  7. Number 2 fair enough but DOF, thats baffling.
  8. Just a hunch but i can say Newcastle going in for Van Buyten now that Woodys not happening. The reason i say this is because; 1. KK obviously wants a centre back 2. There's 3 days which is still time 3. We've been linked with him already 4. KK already knows him Either that or someone else who has not been mentioned. Mellberg to Juve seems to have stalled?

    Deja vu

A fear you are correct but i will never admit it. At least Keegan will get us playing attractive unlike Souness.
  10. The day Keegan was appointed manager, people were screaming for a strengthening of the squad. This thread has "happened" because of the Woodgate story, not the Arsenal result. By the way, in case anyone is getting me wrong... I'm not saying we WILL go down, I'm saying that we COULD. The point being made is that it's not just losing games that will get you relegated, it's other teams below you winning, and there aren't more than 3 teams below us that are better than us thus meaning we won't finish inside the relegation zone this season, even IF we didn't win again (which is unlikely!) A team went down last season with 38 points. That's the most irrelevant statistic ever. You might as well have said "Antoine Sibierski doesn't have any hair" Is it though? You're claiming that we're safe on 27 points. Someone earlier in the thread posted a list of teams who we are better than, nearly all of whom took points off us. I've now posted a form table, which puts us second bottom. Do people realistically think that without strengthening the squad, we won't be dragged into a relegation battle? On the evidence of what?? Where is our evidence of us being dragged into one? It's just your opinion that we are going to lose more games than those below us. Which the majority disagrees with.
  11. He's a good player and would be a good signing but lets not go overboard. Even i would look good in that Sunderland team.
  12. The same Martins that safed us from relegation last season scoring 17 goals in a dog s*** team with a dog s*** manager and set up? Martins is quality and i am fully confident he will do very well under Keegan. hear hear. Geremi isn't the shite player people make him out to be either. He's just lost his legs
  13. Thing is though, we even out played them in the first half and that seems to have gone un-noticed. If we played like that for 90mins in our remaining games we would finish in europe never mind relegation. Obviously i'm not suggesting that will happen but it puts some perspective on some of these comments.
  14. For me Derby and Fulham will be nailed on because of Fulhams horrendous form. Thats leaves about 6 teams below us who will undoubtedly shoot themselves in the foot before we will.
  15. Good player, decent signing. Yes i would have liked to have seen him here but there are far better options who are not injury prone for simliar prices.
  16. There are worse teams below us, who have failed to go on unbeaten runs so far, that will get relegated. We have the same shite every year at this point in the season. We will not go down, in fact i believe we are far more likely to get into the top half.
  17. Did anyone see keegan say that woody was off to spurs on SSN or not?
  18. Season is not a write off until we are safe from relegation My worry as well, we will just scrape it imo, but only just! You two belong together, tbh. why because we are being realistic and admitting what is possible Possible but not probable. There's far to many shit sides below us fighting to avoid two maybe even one place.
  19. What happened? I bet Boro pulled out.
  20. I agree. My opinion of Bent has changed massively. I think him and Martins would be a devasting strike force TBH.
  21. Martins is class. Poor management, shit service and lack of consistant/talented strike partners have severly held him back. Get some good service and an attacking impetous you will see him flourish. However, he does need a partner.
