Loving this trip down memory lane lads but I want a fucking transfer rumour.
-
So basically I wasn't saying that they hadn't been working on this stuff prior, merely that they had to ramp up efforts and that meant potentially selling a star player. No worries though.
-
Adam babes, you've made a massive assumption. Think about it
-
Ah, so the bit that I never said.
-
Which part is crazy?
-
Alot of what you've said there doesn't make any sense. Are you denying having PSR issues?
-
*whispers* Apparently TCD and KaKa are the same person... fucked up right?
-
I mean it makes sense. It's exactly what I imagine Callum Wilson would do. The source just seems ropey and it says there's still interest from Saudi.
-
That source That's the guy steve wraith abandoned in Brighton right?
-
I also presume you mean Atlanta.

Also to add to the above... I'm convinced Dan Ashworth was leading the sale of Joelinton this summer, before we gave him a new contract. This may explain how we originally thought we were going to raise the funds. It's also clear by Darren Eales language last year that they new this point was coming. Talk of "player trading" etc has been on the lips for a while. It seems they took a calculated gamble and got away with it.

My guess: 2 days prior to the PSR deadline we started to panic about a potential points deduction... ... we couldn't just take a points deduction, as much as we might have liked to, because you can't look your match going fans in the face when you knew you allowed your team to be deducted points, despite knowing one big sale would fix the issue.... ... at which point I reckon they reached out to every one of our players agents and gave them permission to look for a deal.... ... that's why we ended up having interested in Isak and Gordon and that's why the whole confusion over "offered".... .... basically it came close to having to make one big sale but we managed to find a way to sell a couple of squad players. In the end, we did amazing business but huge questions need to be asked about that being a strategy going forward. It seems an impossible way to build a squad, when every July you have the capacity to unsettle every player in the squad. I do think that this was the big one in terms of a PSR risk, a culmination of the skeleton business MA ran and a lack of saleable assets since the takeover have led to this point. I'd put my neck out and suggest we won't have anywhere near the same problems going forward. We will have more commercial revenue and many more saleable assets going forward. That doesn't mean I don't think we may have limitations in the future, more that we won't have panic stations in June.

That PSG goal is probably the single biggest pop I've heard and I wasn't even in the ground.

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Atletico Madrid in Sela Cup

Doesn't there need to be a 4th team? Or have I made that up? -
De Ligt to Man United is very..... Man United. If Bayern don't want him, shouldn't that send a few red flags? Also, Dutch fwends.

If City come in, even for 80m we've got problems. Naturally Bruno will want the move and we will have to talk to them. We may get more money but the point is that we would lose Bruno.
-
He must be quick if he was playing for Madrid and Milan.
-
Apparently City see Bruno as their priority. If that's true, we are a bit fucked. It's the one club where I don't think we can deny Bruno the move. Let's hope we stand firm on a big valuation, which sees them move on.
-
I choose to believe that over the BBC and their toxic sandwich like invented stories. It's like Sarajevo all over again.
-
It's possible that we'd do both, now that Anderson has gone. I'm more than convinced that MGW could play right, 10 and 8 but I would like a more orthodox RW.
-
Sounds fucking good to me.
