Well firstly Yorkie you should read a little more carefully. I say Guile not guide. I believe Milner, Owen and Ameobi were all a 7. Owen worked hard and linked up well but had no goalscoring chance because none were created. Ameobi IS crap but his performance was acceptable. Not he played crap but got a 7. Alright, guile then. I believe if Milner, Owen, Ameobi, N'Zogbia, Enrique were all good enough to have warrented 7+, it'd identify that we'd won the game and won it well. I'm not sure how you're working out your ratings. What would you pin as 'average'? I'm not having a go, personally, i'd say 6 is average. 7 is good, 8 very good, 9, brilliant, 10 perfect. Your ratings just looked very high for what was a pretty uneventful performance, that's all. Did we even have a shot on target? Ah i tend to have 6 as an average too but if they have given 100% throughout and at least showed the intent to attack and create then they get a 7. I dont' think anyone was poor therefore i didn't give anyone a 5 but i did give Rozenhal and Duff 6 because, like i say i thought they were average. I see your point, it wasn't meant to look like high ratings but average/good ratings though.

Yup yup. I almost got choked up when the teams came out with Kev in the dugout. Purely inspiring reception they all got.

Summed up very well, agree with it all. A real test of nerve with Arsenal twice. I expect us to perform in one of those though.

Couldn't agree more. What was refereshing was that i think the fans could see it too. It was a breath of fresh air for given to give the ball directly to the defenders almost everytime we had the ball. We attacked from the back and had we had someone, like you say, with a little bit of experianced quality we would have won.

If we'd playd like that under Allardyce i would have been on here slating the performance and result. However, since we are under Keegan i fully understand why we were not fireing on all cylinders and can at least hope for improment in the future. As a footballing side we dominated throughout but never really looked like scoring, at least we played on the deck. However, as a rugby side Bolton won hands down. They were physical, dirty, long ball esq, cheating, time wasting scum. Our much smaller players never had a hope in hell especially alongside a terrible ref. As for ratings here goes: Given- 7 Not needed for most spells, reliable when called upon. Carr-7 Much improved, got forward well, needs shooting practise. Taylor-8 Absolute colloseus. Dominated form start to finsh and SHOULD be captain. Cacapa-7 Alongside Taylor didn't have much to do. Enrique-8 Allardyce must have been mad not picking this kid, great forward play, defending and passing. Milner-7 Pushed and probed with no real guile. Rozenhal-6 Not dominant enough, mixed results with passing. Zoggy- 7 Our biggest threat, good display in the attacking but again didn't dominate. Duff-6 Worked his socks off. Got the feeling Enrique deserved someone better with him though. Owen-7 Barely had a sniff in front of goal, some decent link up though. Ameobi-7 I know he isn't good enough but he wasn't terrible today, mainly because he is big. Thoughts, Kev needs to find a dominant midfield player Beardsley esq. Great day all the same.

We MUST sign a playmaker. We are desperate for someone to run the show in midfield. Deco, Van der Vaart or Diego please.

Oh and Ginolas goal against Ferencvaros. Why that isn't considered one of the greatest goals every scored i have no idea. It was a belter.

THAT WAS MY FIRST EVER FOOTBALL MATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first time i've heard anyone mention it. What a game to be intorduced to aswell. Does anyone know where i could see the goals from that game? Ah the memories..... in those days they had bollards in the standing section. As a young un, i was sitting on one of them, when we scored i fell off but some bloke from behind caught me.
-
Pretty much the only choice for todays game anyway, apart from one of the centre halves.

Well buzzin. However slightly anxious, not nervous though. Does anyone else feel less nervous when they get to the ground? Sometimes we can be playing the likes of Man Utd etc and i will be watching the build up on telly and it puts the fear of shit in me. Yet if i'm at the ground i feel confident of causing them some problems. I think it's something to do with the pundits.

Given Carr Taylor Cacapa Enrique Rozehnal Zoggy Milner Duff Lua Lua Owen © If Vidukas out.
-
Reporter:"You've been linked with the likes of Defoe, Bridge and SWP, is there any truth in this?" Keegan:"......... if you ask me after i will tell you" Nice secret keeping Kev.
-
Absolutley brilliant. Clearly has the magic back. "Newcastle fans spend all week working hard and come to the football to get entertained, in the same way southerns go to the theatre"
-
Coming from people who play Rugby with body suits on.
-
For a bit of fun, realisically. Given Beye Van Buyten Taylor Enrique Faye Van Der Vaart SWP Zoggy/Duff Ashton Owen None of which are ridiculas suggestions, would be a canny little team.

The programmes called "Kevin Keegan live". I've never seen a sky sports programme named specific to a clubs actions before. You can just see "Titus Bramble live".

Defoe hasn't got enough IMO. Micheal Owens a good enough striker to get us 20 goals (should he stay fit). We need either a powerhouse who can cause problems physically and chip in with the goals (Ashton) or a creative striker who can create something out of nothing and create from deep, ala Gudjohnsen. If Defoe was a direct replacement of Owen then i would understand it but wouldn't advise it. As for SWP, he would be an excellent addition, exactly the sort of player to get us out of our seats. However, right sided players and strikers should not be top of our wanted list. Attacking midfielder please.

Now that Barton is available i agree. Does anyone know whether he's been training or there for Kev to see etc.
-
Barton is another who SHOULD flourish under KK.
-
Couldn't agree more. What is he, 22/23? He still a young un and he's by far our most consitant and productive midfield player. KK will make sure that players like him are well suited to his style. If i was the likes of Owen, Martins etc i'd be absolutely loving the fact that KK is coming to town. There chances of scoring goals will be doubled. I believe that we desperatley need a centre mid playmaker. It shall be very interesting to see whether the Zog has what it takes. AM is his preferred position too i believe.
-
We need a midfield play maker,a beardsley if you like. I'd like to see kev pluck someone off the continent like van der vaat or diego but i have no idea what his knowledge is like at the moment.
-
Given Carr Taylor Cacapa Enrique Rozehnal Zoggy Milner Duff Viduka Owen My opion is that Rozehnal will be a good player at centre mid. He's got athletism, the abilty to tackle and pass.
-
Next season or this? Impossible to say. If we spend £100m next summer we'll get top 6. Next season. Thats why i typed "next season". If we spend £100m, and a few others spend nothing, you MAY be right. We're some way off those teams NOW, though, so we'll need a fair whack just to get us level with them. Squad wise we are not that far off the likes of Man City, Villa and Everton but in terms of cohesion, communication and teamwork we are miles off. However KK will improve all that.

Forget what you think about the desicion just take it in and enjoy it.
