  1. And I'm fine with that. Let's create new hero's.
  2. Can't be arsed to argue but on point 2, it was 100% as good a football for 6 months as anyone else on the planet. Again, in the context of where we were when he started, unbelievable.
  3. Well done for being totally wrong on everything. 1. 95% of fans wouldn't want him back as manager in 2021 2. The legend that is KK is for two reasons. Firstly he joined us as a player out of the blue and he was arguably the first superstar to play for the club. Secondly, he came in as manager and took us from oblivion and had us playing the best football on the planet. He was a nats pube off winning the league. 3. He didn't walk out when the going got tough, he walked put because the club became a PLC and there were political issues. I.e he was a man of principal. 4. Wasn't he largely successful at Fulham, got them promoted IIRC? 5. He was doing a poor job for England, he knew it, everyone knew it. He left for the good of the country. I wish our former manager who we are told to feel sorry for had this sort of compassion.
  4. Doesn't that depend on Howe also?
  5. You would have had AVB and Fonseca over Emery?
  6. I don't think it's anything to do with our attraction. It's alot of bad luck: Rodgers: Not surprisingly won't leave Leicester, not our fault. Ten Hag: Won't leave Ajax, probably has sights on a champions league club. Rafa: 6 months too late, probably 6 months too soon too. Pochettino: Like Rafa, was probably an option had the takeover happened at another time. Emery: Not willing to leave a champions league club. I don't think Conte, Zidane were ever realistic right now. They want instant success and aren't prepared to build. That leaves us with alot of C list foreign managers like Fonseca, Favre, AVB, Martinez etc. Whilst they may come good, I can see why the club is reluctant to take the risk on them. So that leaves Howe, who may also be C list but has the potential to take the same trajectory as someone like Rodgers. If Howe has bode his time and waited for the right job, rather than being a journeyman, I rate that. Again Howe wouldn't have been my first choice but it is where we are. Six months either side and things would have been different.
  7. I've argued against the need for a quick appointment because I wanted us to get the best man available and whilst that's still true, the Emery fiasco has put extra pressure on the board to hire quickly. The fans, particularly online, want someone in pronto and are going to get very restless if someone isn't in by the weekend. If its Howe, its imperative he's got the two weeks during the international break to drill the players.
  8. It tells you something that if we had Shipman as our club doctor the mortality rate would actually go down.
  9. Has a lethal shot. We could have stuck him up front.
  10. One interview with Howe and people will jump on board, I reckon. He's not as good as Emery but neither were any of the other likely candidates. Would you really prefer the unknown quantities of Favre/Fonseca? or the the known but uninspiring Martinez? I don't think Ten Hag, Rafa or Rodgers were ever serious options, therefore Howe is pretty much on the level we will have to accept. Unless they can pull a rabbit out of the hat.
  11. Fans: "Tell me now, I want to know now!!!!" Same fans: "Wew, your not supposed to actually tell us you amateurs!"
  12. I'd be no more or less happy with Howe than I would be Fonseca or Favre. Howe performed a minor miracle at Bournemouth, even if it did fizzle out. He's got as many failures on his CV as the aforementioned managers.
  13. He can hardly tell Villareal that he's leaving, if he's not sure that he is leaving. You tell your current employers that you are staying, until you are not staying, thats how it works. Point is, he might be waiting for us to match his wage demand before committing.
  14. Those kicking off at the club for leaks, clearly don't understand what leaks are. Leaks by definition aren't deliberate. However, if the club has been briefing the press without having their ducks in a row, well that's just plain naive. FWIW, I'd be careful believing anything coming from Villareal, they have lied from the beginning.
  15. Mind you, this is the same Villareal that said they knew nothing 24 hours ago, despite being proven to have lied.
  16. Why can't we ever have good things.
  17. Mes que un club sandwich?
  18. He's not that type of lawyer. He's a High level football lawyer that deals with football legal cases not footballer contracts. Fuck it, I'm out.
  19. He's a fucking lawyer not a football agent you helmets.
  20. This cunt done his pre match interview yet?
  21. This the Gullit who left out Shearer? Emery nailed on for a trophy then.

Emerys appointment is a great hint as to the sort of standard of players we are going to be after.
