Longstaff was our worst player. Targett was one of our better players yesterday. That's my opinion.

Interesting one with Botman and Schar. I think Schar starts but we will now see Botman come in every 3 games or so, when we have a packed schedule.

There was a couple of times when Miley showed a really good burst of pace defensively but I certainly don't feel like it's "his game", as it were. It's still unclear where he will fit but that's normal. I remember a young Fabregas was seen as a DM then seemed to be an attacking player then dropped back to DM as he got older. Ultimately if we are a dominant team, it shouldn't matter so much, his game will be played further up the pitch. What im really excited about is that he has an eye for a goal. Remember him hitting the bar on his debut at Stamford bridge? This is now his second goal. Not bad considering that Longstaff struggles and even Anderson couldn't find the net.

I bet we've had enquiries from a few clubs who think we are PSR vulnerable. There's no chance we make the same mistake as we did with Anderson. This lad is England material.

Id rather start Miley as number 6, keeping Bruno as 8, in the scenario that Tonali got injured than have Longstaff come into the side.

Give him a chance where? To be fair, nobody is saying he's shite. Actually it's a compliment that most of us see him as too good to be sitting on our bench, given our PSR constraints. Hes valuable.

His short range passing is like a 30 year old but he still needs to become more aware defensively. The fact he has Bruno and Tonali with him gives me hope. I felt like he had extra pace? He has character on the pitch, even though he seems quite quiet off it. In an ideal world, he'd get a loan move to another PL club, but since he's possibly our 4th best midfielder, we really can't afford to. I want to see more of him. He could easily come on for Bruno or Tonali in games where we are winning.

Fair comment. I can absolutely see him at somewhere like West Ham though.

And that's exactly it. Hes one of the few players we have who should be starting in the PL and will give us some serious wedge back.

Again, I absolutely don't want to slag the lad but he needs nudged out the door and by nudged I mean kicked.

Wouldn't sell for that. Even though he doesn't start for us, he'd instantly give any PL side a good goals output. 35m minimum. Hes highly rated by other fans, from my experience at least.

Yeah, but it instantly means we could afford a similar deal.

I think he's a good player, but ive got no doubt that we'd sell if we got out money back.
