I think there are times when clubs take a gamble on having enough players, because getting the right fee at the right time is important. OK we need 6 midfielders but if someone hoys a decent chunk at you for Willock, you have to think about taking it, given his injury record. In fairness, his injury record is why we wont get decent bids for him.

Oh I agree. The only thing that really hurts us is that when we go away to good sides, we needed that special killer in Isak but theres so little the club can do. Wissa will certainly fill that void to a degree but hes no Isak.

Maddison was never a Howe player IMO, not without a real change in style. Athleticism is crucial for Howe, hed rather sign someone athletically brilliant but technically imperfect, because he can do something with a player who can get about the pitch. Thankfully, I think Ramsey is a nice blend.

Weve not improved our starting 11 this window (because of the Isak saga) but id find it hard to argue that we haven't improved the squad, quite significantly too.
