I agree with @Ronaldothat financially, I dont think we can accuse him of greed, since hes worth alot more than the money hes on.... However, my take on the "greedy bastard" chant was more a case of, you've just won a trophy and qualified for the Champions league, dont take this club for granted. I dont think anyone is begrudging ambition but a scorched earth policy is only ever going to be met with anger. Also, "theres only one player who's gone about this the wrong way", isnt exactly the most catchy jingle from the stands.

Well exactly. Hasn't he already said that he "will never play for us again". Clearly Howe doesn't believe that to be the case. Hes openly putting pressure on him to rejoin training. Doesn't that seem a little odd if Howe really thought that Isak wasnt coming back? Im presuming Howe is still in regular contact with him. Its exactly what id expect Howe to do. Its entirely hypothetical but my sense is that Howe feels all isnt lost.

Eddie mentioned needing this situation sorting ASAP and at first I thought he might be referring to the powers that be selling Isak... However im sure in his press conference he mentioned wanting a decision from the player himself... Isn't that a completely different change in narrative? What does Isak need to decide? Hes already decided hasn't he? He wants to leave? Unless, and im just speculating here, theres been crack in the Isak camp. Perhaps they've started to feel like that the writing is on the wall in terms of getting a move because clearly we aren't getting that big ticket striker and Liverpool have done nothing to suggest they are going to get anywhere near the 150m. I just wonder if Eddie has been given a glimmer of hope that he can get Isak back into the fold? It certainly seems like the club have massively ramped up pressure on the player, they've offered him multiple contracts according to Romano, they started giving him fines for not playing, he must be looking at the team playing and be starting to get a little worried. Let's see in the next week if theres one report of even the chance that hes backing down... thats my prediction anyway.

Ive just suggested Jackson on loan, with an option. Even if the option is 50+, provided we dont have to sign him, i think that would be a good deal. If it were to happen, we'd have to look at a fairly hefty loan fee. If Eddie could work his magic on Jackson, 50m million might look a good deal.

I wonder at what point we get creative/desperate and look to do a loan + option for someone like Jackson or maybe even switch from Wissa to Watkins. The club know they must sign one striker (at least) and they have 2 weeks to do so. Its also getting almost impossible to sell Isak.
