  1. SD have paid sponsorship over the last couple of years, although that is below the market rate. They will legally be entitled to seeing out this season at least, so taking down the signs before the season ends is unlikely. Alongside this it maybe a case of having to keep Ashley happy until we know we have control over everything, he may have done deals like he did at Rangers and may have sold things like image and copyrights to himself. We would need to know if he has and buy them back before we decide to piss him off. Most importantly though, the SD rights will not be a priority. Possibly giving fans a refund, sorting out the coaching staff, playing staff even even possibly sorting out other sponsorship deals (like the shirt sponsorship) will all be more of a priority. What would be the legal ramifications for reneging on our sponsorship with SD? A fine? Compensation for SD? Get them fucking signs down.
  2. Of course we’re not Government set to announce they are. Bit late mind.
  3. Neil Custis does Sunday Supplement, that's why they are reporting it. Even sky have to be seen to back reporters who work on their channel
  4. Mersons football analysis aside, you cant help but admire his battle against addiction and his openness towards mental health. Watching Harry's heros, its wonderful to see men in 2020 talking so openly about these issues. Lee Hendrie tried to kill himself, Ruddock gets a pacemaker, Vinnie Jones lost his wife and Harry Redknapp lost his friend in a car crash which he survived. Footballers doing good things.
  5. Forbes is canny reputable aye? Is their story just a rehash or their own story?
  6. More like walking into a club and trying it on with the same worldie who pied you the night before. "Tommorow, lads, tommorow she said she would shag me... I mean come on why wouldnt she?"
  7. You laugh but let's wait and see. I bet I'm proven right in time Suppose you did turn out to be correct having goaded us for weeks.....what will you get out of it.....the rest of us will be gutted....how will you feel? Devastated. Sickened. I haven't goaded anyone I'm just offering some balance to the hysteria. People are getting far too carried away over the tiniest of things and looking for messages that aren't there. I'm just saying people need to be prepared for the possibility that this won't happen. For someone with the word Silent in his name, you dont half bang on. To be fair, I outed you as a WUM a fortnight ago. At least you have stopped talking about "project restart" holding things up. I'm glad you have dropped that ridiculous notion. It's just a shame now you are saying it wont happen, despite the fact that it is 95% done.
  8. Study the words George has chosen to use . . . "They haven’t had official, formal word from the PL yet. That’s the bit when the money starts to move". That is about as clear as it could possibly be !!! It means . . . We haven't had the announcement yet because the money hasn't been paid and it will be paid when the "official" and "formal" approval (ie, the official/formal letter) has been received, but (and this is the important bit) it means that "unofficial" approval (phonecall probably) HAS been given. It's all there. IT IS DONE PEOPLE . . . DONE !!!! So genuine question what do you think his tweets today have indicated then? That something may or may not have happened.

  10. Why would he know ? He wouldnt. Hes one level up from Steve Wraith. Literally does anything for followers and fans. He will say anything the fans want to hear.
  11. Give it 24 hours and another protest letter to the PL and you lot will be having a meltdown again.
  12. Until I hear Caulkin confirm tests are completed, I'm not interested. Of course, he may be sworn to silence or he may have been kept out of the loop, in either of these scenarios I will wait for confirmation from the club. Theres a lot of second hand "reports" kicking about and absolutely nothing of substance.
  13. Yeah, I suspect this is all bullshit and the PL tests are still ongoing.
  14. Careful now. STM[/member] will be along soon to laugh at you for talking sense like that. Careful now. STM[/member] will be along soon to laugh at you for talking sense like that.
  15. Starting to wonder about this Paul Smith like. He seems to be milking our fanbase dry regarding the takeover. Everyone is pure botting him atm.

    Zaha would be class.
  17. I cant stand Delaney or his views, however I hate the cancel culture and dont agree with trawling through peoples lives to find reasons why they shouldn't be allowed to keep their job.... unless you are a MP or whatever.
  18. I don't see what's so outrageous.. My family and our small businesses are running completely independent of oil and gas. At no great additional expense either.. If you care so much, you can always take a stand, like my father did successfully in court against Lukoil's Bulgarian subsidiary 20 years ago. In response, they destroyed his business, his life and our family continues to suffer from threats and lawsuits to this day. Great post. Smashed him to pieces.
  19. The Saudis being allowed to sell petrol in this country is much worse than them being allowed to buy a football club, given how much of their wealth and power comes from oil. It's not whataboutery, its hypocrisy.

I still think it's fine to throw money at younger talent who will potentially be here in 5 years, rather than ageing stars who may not have as much to offer, long term. There has to be a balance. I've no idea how Ramsey is doing over there or whether he is still a decent player, that's what should matter really.
