Everything is a wasted point with this club but... Lookman, in isolation would be a decent shout. Hes young, British, has a bit of experience, is full of talent and will be looking to settle. Doing some Dennis Wising, he would add more of what ASM brings. So I could get on board with that. Babel on the other hand, was only half decent at Liverpool and given his age would be an utterly ambitionless signing. I'm not really interested in players "doing a job" in the short term. Go and sign a proper striker FFS. Theres a mad Serb who would fit the bill.

Bruce and McLaren are the total opposites. McClaren was well known for being decent with the cones and had a decent knowledge of the game. He was just a complete wet paper bag with no man management or motivation skills. Bruce, on the other hand, is a "mans man" like Souness, all motivation and "in the trenches" craic, with no real skill or knowledge of the modern game.
