I've given up predicting transfers, especially with our club. I'm happy that the club will be looking at the right players, for the right prices. It always a risk that we will lose a couple though. I'd like another good freebie though.

Think he's got a good future here, if we can find a position for him. Europe would help his cause. From what I have seen he has lovely technique. Will be a nice boost to us next year.

You are right, Pardew is shit and he should play Ben Arfa every week because I seen some youtube clips of him being good in France. I said most of the time he has done nothing, not all of the time. He also couldn't do anything against Brighton. I don't hear Ryan Taylor complaining because hes been played in his wrong position.

Robert was consistent, attacking wise. Yes he didn't track back but he also didn't go missing. Ben Arfa hasn't been our best player in any game this year, one magically moment doesn't change that. There's no doubting his talent and I believe he is a better player than Obertan but for most of the time Ben Arfa has been on the pitch he has done nothing. I'm trying to ignore his reputation in order to give a balanced view.

People becoming more clouded on the Ben Arfa issue. Do u really think he rates Obertan over HBA talent wise? Pardews not happy with his attitude and is trying every trick in the book to motivate him. If he doesn't improve by the summer I can see him being shipped out. HBA has played a few times now and I have yet to see a good performance from him, some good moments is about all he can boast.

I think it would take a big offer to take him but who in this league could afford him. It seems Liverpool have spent enough for the moment and want some return from Dalglish. Man Utd are one of the sides who might be tempted but they would have to sell Berbatov first. Chelsea want to get something out of Torress and are looking to the future. Arsenal, no chance. Do Spurs have money? They certainly aren't spending big, finishing in the top four might help. Man City can buy anyone, we just have to hope they don't fancy Ba. There's always a worry but its not the cash rich league it used to be.

My issue with the media is that they clearly rate players like : Downing, Adam, Henderson, Song, Walcott, Arshavin etc for no apparent reason. Why because they were signed for bigger money or play for one of the 'top sides'. Personally I wouldn't swap Tiote, Cabaye, Colo for half the shit in Liverpool or Arsenal.

If we are to get anything out this we are going to have to be all hands to the pump. We can't out pass them and attacking them gung ho would be suicide. It will be the same side with Oba and Cisse coming in. 2 banks of 4 with Ba dropping back and helping out. It will be a real test of Cisse doing things on his own and picking off scraps. We need to spring them on the counter, as they will have most the ball. Our other main threat will come from set-pieces.

My view on Villa is that they have some talented players but a poor team. One of our best strengths is our teamwork and effort, it should give an edge in this game. The problem is whether we can create chances. With Ba back we should offer their defence a few problems.
