    Curtis Davies

Long term i'd love us to sign Davis, so a loan now would be be brilliant. I have no doubt that Davis will be one of the countries top centre halfs in a few years time, once he gets some games and experiance under his belt. However, the chances of this happening are very slim, as there is there is bound to be at least one premiership club in for him.
  2. NEVER play Loven on the wing. That's all.
  3. Good game, great goal. I keep wanting switch over to the Spurs game but there's too many goals in this one.
  4. I think most are in agreement about Simpson's ability, he's a decent right back who will help us to promotion but huge question marks over his future potential. From my point of view it's about squad building, he's a good young lad who works well with our other defenders, so he represents a sensible signing. However, i'd suggest should we get promoted that we should look for someone better, preferably with more experiance. I voted yes.
  5. Just wait, end of this month we will give him a one month deal, after impressing in training.
  6. I'd prefer us to sign Simpson than Killgallon TBH.
  7. I like the lad and if it helps us secure promotion then i'm happy with the signing. He does very little wrong out on the pitch and seems to have a good attitude.
  8. Exactly, if he doesn't i'd expect us to do enough to beat palace.
  9. I'm suprised at the amount who don't rate Simpson. Don't get me wrong, he still has alot of work to do in order to become a "out of the ordinary" right back. However, IMO he's solid enough to be considered a good squad signing, with potential. The problem we have is that we can't sign players on minimal fee's anymore because that is half our budget. If we let Simpson go without signing a replacement we cause our own problems, not because i rate Simpson that highly but because we will be a man short (ditto harewood).
  10. Assuming we haven't added to our squad (or retained Simpson), i'd guess we will look like this; Krul Raylor Taylor Kadar Enrique Butt Nolan Pancrate Guthrie Ranger Carroll IMO a cup game is a great chance to allow Guthrie to play in his natural position but there's no chance Hughton will do that. We SHOULD be playing a full strength side, due to the significant break we have had, in order to get some momentum going over the next few weeks. However, Hughton will look at this as a chance to rest some players who he views as important. Don't expect a win, in fact expect us to sacrifice the F.A cup. The only saving grace is that West Brom may rest a few of their players, who probably are not as good back up as ours.
  11. Almost all of the other Championship clubs would take Butt simply on reputation. If they really knew i doubt they would.
  12. He is, still got a massive career ahead of him. He's just returned from injury though.
  13. If Loven scores he will go down as a mini cult hero, not that he already isn't. The guy deserves a pat on the back, i just hope his mind is in it.
  14. Harper Simpson Taylor Coloccini Enrique Smith Nolan Guthrie Jonas Shola Carroll I can see Taylor playing instead of Simpson though (not sure on his situation). Long ball game again 2-0 Shola brace
  15. "My best times have been with managers who rated me." What a pointless thing to say.
  16. I always believe that in a managers time at a club there is always a " point of no return" and it's a matter of time before something gives. Even if Benitez gets fourth this season it's still an underachievement for the club and IMO he will not be in charge this time next year.
  17. That's it though, a shell of Solano is better than most of the chamionships right midfielders. For 10 games on a nothing wage? Hardly going to cripple the club is it?
  18. IMO he's retained the same amount of fitness and ability as Beckham, who still applies his trade at one of the biggest clubs in the world. Let me guess "that's different"? Why did West Ham let him go for basically nowt then, as we did, and Villa before that and us before that? In fairness, when we let him go in the past, it was down to a fall out with Sir Bobby the first time (over the playing for Peru thing), and the 2nd time, he wanted to move south for 'Family Reasons'. Niether case seemed to be due to his ability at the time(s). Can't comment on the reasons for being aloowed to leave West Ham, or his last 2 clubs (in Greece and Peru respectively). Basically the same points i've just made. Although, they will be ignored. f***ing hell. None of that explains why the clubs have let him go for peanuts, does it? Other clubs decision making have no influence on my opinion's because i don't know the situation of every other club in the world and neither do you (even if you think you do). At a guess; West Ham- Couldn't afford him and had managerial changes Villa- Got Milner
  19. At no point was a comparison made between the ability of Solano and Beckham. What it said was that if Beckham can maintain his level of fitness and ability for Milan, then Nobby can do so for a Championship club. I won't repeat it a third time.

Why did West Ham let him go for basically nowt then, as we did, and Villa before that and us before that? You can't base your guessing on the decisions that other clubs make. As for us, one of Bobby's biggest mistakes was letting Nobby go and second time around he wasn't cut out for the premiership, simple.
  22. So you are guessing It's fun being the miserable one, it convinces people that you know what you are talking about when things go tits up, which it always does at this club anyway.
